I’m a worried friend who knows a member of this organization. She used to live at home and now moved into a shared apartment with other members from this church. She no longer speaks to me and I’m wondering if this is normal? Does this organization push no contact towards friends/family? She’s so young and sad to see her waste her life away with this church.
Please help – advise is welcomed.
It is common for members, once indoctrinated enough, to move in with other members. If she does not speak to you, it’s because they encourage members to cut ties or limit interactions with those outside the church. If your friend realizes this is wrong, she will slowly start to see other things are wrong. If she thinks this is okay behavior, then she is going to take a while to come out of these false teachings. Just remember its not anything wrong with you. She is brainwashed. Shes probably also extremely busy with WMS tight schedules. They are guilted into thinking they arent doing enough for God if they are not there every day. Please contact if you need help.
