I’ve heard a lot of World Mission Society Church Of God members claim that “Ahn Sahng Hong had to preach the gospel for 37 years in order to fulfill the Prophecy of King David’s throne“.  Let’s take a closer look at this claim.

Ahn Sahng Hong’s History

After being raised Buddhist, the WMSCOG claims that Ahn Sahng Hong was baptized into the Seventh Day Adventist Church in 1948.  Baptism documents have proved his baptism date to be a complete fabrication by the WMSCOG.  Ahn Sahng Hong’s real baptism date was October 9, 1954.  After remaining a member of the Seventh Day Adventists for 10 years,  Ahn Sahng Hong was kicked out in 1962.  The World Mission Society Church of God claims they were founded by Ahn Sahng Hong in 1964.  In actuality, Ahn Sahng Hong established his own church, the Witnesses of Jesus Church of God, on April 28, 1964.

WMSCOG members have claimed that Ahn Sahng Hong had to have been baptized into the SDA church originally because they were the only ones worshiping on Saturday.  However, Jesus was not baptized into another religion, despite having been raised a Jew.  This begs the question, why did he not start his own church in 1948 or 1954 (Ahn Sahng Hong’s real baptism date)?

To break down the math though, according to Ahn Sahng-Hong’s tombstone he lived from 1918 – 1985.

Let’s say for the sake of argument that Ahn Sahng Hong was baptized in 1948 as the WMSCOG claims.

If he preached for 37 years as the WMSCOG claims, then he would have had to start preaching in 1985-37=1948, supposedly the year he entered the SDA church.  This still does not work.

Jesus began his ministry and started his own church at the point of his baptism.  Ahn Sahng Hong, on the other hand, did not begin to preach the “new covenant Passover” until he established his own church in 1964.  A fact that the World Mission Society Church of God admits on their own website.  This is a full 16 years later than the supposed 1948 baptism date.  (Completely ignoring for a moment that Herbert Armstrong “restored the Passover” in his Worldwide Church of God about 30 years before Ahn Sahng Hong supposedly did).

The WMSCOG Contradicts Themselves on Ahn Sahng Hong’s 37 Year Ministry

In an article titled, All the members of the Church of God over 70 nations Celebrated 2003 Passover of the New Covenant on April 16, 2003, the WMSCOG admits that:

Therefore, he did not preach his “new covenant Passover” for 37 years as they claim here, but for only 21 years!  This proves that he did not fulfill the “prophecy of King David” as the WMSCOG claims.

Thus, even according to the WMSCOG’s own manufactured prophesies, Ahn Sahng Hong was not God.

Who Was Ellen G. White?

William Miller and Ellen G. White were early pioneers of the Seventh Day Adventist movement.  William Miller unsuccessfully predicted the return of Jesus Christ in 1844.  This historical event is known as The Great Disappointment.  Ellen G. White was purported to have had her first “vision” soon after The Great Disappointment in 1844.  White was considered a controversial figure who wrote approximately 50,000 manuscripts, of which there are 100 available titles in English.  White’s writings continue to be an important part of study in the Seventh Day Adventist church, where she is viewed as a “prophetess”.  However, Ellen G. White, preached many things contradictory to Scripture.  Here are some of her stranger claims:

Of course, this clearly contradicts John 10:30 which says:  “I and the Father are one.”

This clearly contradicts Ephesians 1:13-14 which says:  “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance…“

This clearly contradicts Hebrews 10:18 which says:  “And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary.”

This clearly contradicts Matthew 24:36 which says:  “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

This clearly contradicts Hebrews 13:12 which says:  “And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood.”

And also, Romans 3:28 which says:  “For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.”

This clearly contradicts Romans 5:10-11 which says:  “For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.”

This clearly contradicts Hebrews 7:18-19 which says:  “The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.“

And Ephesians 1:4-6 which says:  “For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonshipthrough Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.”

500 copies were printed by S.A. Nagel, Sr. and subsequently recalled and destroyed by the General Conference. One copy remains.

Just in case you missed that, Ellen G. White, the prophetess of the Seventh Day Adventist church, just said that the devil “controls [all] children”.  I am not sure we need any Scriptural proof to refute that, but just in case you have never read the Bible, this clearly contradicts Mark 10:13-16 which says:

Why Is This Information Significant?

Ellen G. White is a false prophet.  The fact that her writings contradict the Bible proves it (Ezekiel 22:28).  Now why would Jesus return to the earth and be baptized into Seventh Day Adventism, whose prophetess preached things contrary to Scripture?  Would Jesus follow the teachings of a false prophet?  Ellen G. White even goes as far as to commit blasphemy and deny that Jesus is God!  Why would Jesus be part of an organization that denied His divinity?  It makes absolutely no sense.

(Ahn Sahng Hong was not baptized in 1948).  Despite all of this, WMSCOG members I’ve spoken with claim that Ahn Sahng Hong was prophesied to be baptized in the Seventh Day Adventist church.  I was once told by a WMSCOG member that this was the only church he could have been baptized into because it was the only church observing the Sabbath on Saturday.

However, there was no need for Ahn Sahng Hong to be baptized into the SDA church just because they were the only ones worshiping on Saturday.  Jesus was not baptized into another religion, despite having been raised a Jew.
