Are "heretics" allowed to participate? Do we get put on a separate table like the kids?

Oh, and I read about your neighbors.  Seems like they have all kinds of complaints about the noise you make there all hours of the night and all the traffic, etc.  At a meeting of the town council there many said it used to be a nice quiet place, and now there's car doors slamming in the wee hours of the morning, cars honking, lights shining in their windows. A kids who tried to walk across the parking lot was confronted and told not to cross it anymore, although he had for years when it wasn't wmscog.

Now you're having a concert in the middle of a residential neighborhood and calling it an event for your neighbors?!?!  Maybe you should have asked them if they wanted it first.  I wager they would have liked some peace and quiet better!   LOL!

    Is it even residential?

So far as noise in my house church we were strongly rebuked for making more noise than necessary. And in my experience growing up most neighbours are rude loud obnoxious and disruptive no matter what religion

Yes, Simon, it is residential.  They bought the property from another church.  That church apparently had normal service times and didn 't carry on into the wee hours every day of the week.  I read the council minutes from the Ridgewood city council meeting where the people in the neighborhood came in in number to complain about their activities.  They kind of ruined the peaceful neighborhood there, according to their "real neighbors."  And when someone asked them not to park in front of their house, the church member was extremely rude to them.  Whaaaaat? A member of the church being rude?  And a boy who had walked across their parking lot was confronted by some church members and questioned about what he was doing there, then told not to walk across it again.  This kid used to do it all the time when the other church was there, and no one confronted him at all.  It just isn't that same easy, peaceful neighborly neighborhood anymore.  At one point, someone got up on the church and was actually speaking over a bullhorn of some type.  Wow!  I never heard of this before from a church. Simon, you better get that guy from your former Zion who rebuked people for making too much noise!  He needs to do some heavy rebuking over there in Ridgewood!  And not to kids crossing the parking lot!

I gues the main reason the neighbors went to the city council was because there were reports of the church wanting to expand there.  Expand, when they were already causing a disruption of the peace there.  I guess they like to present themselves as good neighbors, but they really aren't.  Also, wasn't the administrator of this site, who is being sued, one of their former members?  That very church?  Wow, real forgiving and neighborly.

Maybe Jim is a member who is one of their victims, who doesn't yet really know what they are about.  I apologize, Jim, if I have offended you and you are one of the elect that they have fooled.  If you extended this invite in sincerity then I thank you for the intention behind it.  However, it is my contention you are being used, much like a tool, and you don't know it yet.  If you are one of the hierarchy, then it is different.  There is a different intention behind this invite.

Google maps made it look less than residential. Not sure about it being legal to actually require someone to not park in front of your house but we really didn’t do that either but we also had plenty of side parking. And the main church had its own lot with plenty of room so only a handicapped person who couldn’t walk that far had any excuse there

Also I think he would have no authority to tell him not to cut through a lot though that surely doesn’t mean he didn’t say it.

It wasn't in front of my house, Simon.  I don't live there.  I just read the city council notes.  Was everybody there, of which there were many, just there becasue they had nothing better to do?  I really don't understand why you doubt this, if it is a matter of public record.

And the legality of the parking wasn't the problem.  It was the request not to park where people who actually live there park, and the rude response.

I have come to know that a lot of the things this church likes to put in front of the public are simply PR/damage control, and an effort to legitimize their group.  I wish it was as wonderful inside as what they are trying to portray to someone on the outside.  I know it isn't.  More manipulation.

Jim was very nice to invite the people here, I don't understand why everyone is being rude.

It is not nice to be rude to Jim. But can you be honest and open?

Who is everyone? As far as I can see, only one has been sarcastic. Is it only me or do others also see the pattern of wmscog crying persecution all the time?

If you look at what MountainMom has written, you can see where she is coming from. Her post is a direct response to the title of this thread created by Jim. When you read that post and understand it, does Jim's thread starter post and its title not seem like deliberate provocation?

Yes definitely.  This is just another PR stunt.  Interesting because they usually don't like a bunch of "worldly" people inside the building.  I was told that's why they don't conduct weddings there anymore.

I dont think anyone can put words in your mouth Simon!  You seem like such a free spirit, and kind of an enigma, too.  (That's not a swear word! LOL!)

I just got a little fired up when they come out with PR stunts and try to act mainstream when I know they are not.  I don't want others suckered in to the same destructive organization that so many others were damaged by.  I don't want anyone to have to go through all the pain and suffering this church winds up putting a person through eventually.  All for an elaborate system of lies.

Plus, they invite me to their church, but my relative says he cannot so much as step one foot in MY church?  He isn't allowed to ever go into any other church, they are all evil but his.  So why the double standard?  (Well, I know why, this is just a rhetorical question)

I have gone into my relative's wmscog services many times.  I don't fear their people or have a phobia about going in there.  God knows I'm not going to worship the "Mother."  He knows my intentions are to get my relative out of there, and that I just attend once in a while to better understand what they are doing to him.  I won't lose my salvation for trying to get my relative away from idol worshipping. I know that. Yet they can't come into my church, they are so fearful?  That doesn't make sense.  Must not have read that part about "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil……….."

I didn't doubt that things were said to people by them just that they had the authority to say it
