The World Mission Society Church of God is a controversial religious group that believes:
- that a Korean man named Ahn Sahng Hong (1918-1985) was the Second Coming of Jesus Christ;
- that Zhang Gil Jah, a woman living in South Korea, is the “mother god”;
- that tithes and offerings are required for salvation;
- that “bearing fruit”, or recruiting new members, is required for salvation;
- that celebrating holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving are pagan and therefore should not be celebrated, and including but not limited to;
- that observance of the Sabbath on Saturday and a number of other Old Testament feats must be observed.
