WMSCOG recruiters seem to be everywhere these days. I understand that they are under a lot of pressure to recruit. Does the quota of "10 talents" sound familiar to anyone? I was just wondering if any of them look at a potential recruit and consider that if that person joins, they are looking at the next family or marriage that will be divided? That new recruit may be the next person to cut off their friends and family, stop doing what they enjoy doing (or enjoying life in general), lose their job… Do any of them feel guilty about being the one to cause havoc in that person's life? Do any of them feel bad about deceiving that new recruit into joining by not telling them up front about the organization's demands? Or do they just hope that the person joins so that they can be another "fruit" or golden star next to their name on the board?
It seems that misery really does love company.

MountainMomParticipantHere's a great one! I know of a man whose wife isn't in the wmscog. She never will be, as she is adamantly against their teachings. But on a trip to Korea, her husband was with a group who got an audience with "the mother." He got to ask one question. So he asked, "Is my wife going to go to heaven?" The mother, through an interpreter, said "Yes." So with all the requirements given to go to heaven, tell me how this man's wife will go there without doing a SINGLE ONE OF THEM, and not believing at all in God the Mother. The mother can't be God as she makes HUGE mistakes.

Because God can do whatever God wants to do. The robber didn't keep PO, Sabbath, etc. but because Jesus said he will go to paradise, it will happen. Because God said it, so shall it be. Fair? I don't think so.. Why should she go to heaven not doing anything but here I am struggling to pay bills, stay awake at work, etc. and my fate isn't even locked in?? Uh oh.. I'm complaining. Everything F&M do for us and allow us to go through is for our own good; that we may be Princesses and Princes in heaven rather than the common folk. Sarcasm*

OrangesParticipantIs the WMSCOG very wealthy? Does anyone have an estimate as to how much money they have? I guess they don’t provide any type of financial statement or ledger, do they?
March 8, 2013 at 7:35 PM #42727
MountainMomParticipantThey are wealthy, but I dont know how wealthy. Their finances are a well-guarded secret. They provide no transparency in finances that I know of.

Love'n HoneyParticipantI wonder if the overseers of house churches use the offering and tithes to pay their mortgage.

Since I was one of them before I have to tell you that I felt all that at the begining and I told the diaconess about. Sometimes when whe went preaching I will see a girl with her husband or boyfriend that they will want me to preach. I sometimes will not preach to the target that they picked to me because I tought about her making her boyfriend unhappy since my boyfriend broke up with me when I started to attend the church. I cannot tell you that everyone that had been in that situation have think about that. I did think about that and I ignored many girls that I could preach to but that I reused to preach.

Love'n HoneyParticipantI don't feel guilty about it. Actually, to be honest, I like causing havoc. This is why I have always thought I was devil or something because I like making people mad or sad. There are a select few who I try to make happy all the time. Preaching was one of my favorite things not because I thought I was sharing the truth but because I was getting people all upset about Jesus.

MountainMomParticipantOYG Renita, I believe you! LOL!
March 9, 2013 at 10:25 PM #42732
Love'n HoneyParticipantLol… did you just use my favorite phrase OYG? Wow, I haven't laughed or even giggled all day. Thanks. =)
March 10, 2013 at 1:00 AM #42733
MountainMomParticipantYes, I did use your favorite phrase! LOL you are such a rabble rouser!
March 10, 2013 at 5:38 AM #42734

I could look into that one

Love'n HoneyParticipantGoodness, I just called over this guy in my class who has been studying with the members who are also in my class. I don't know what to say to him to warn him about the church without coming across as judgemental. I mean, I don't even know if he believes to begin with. How do you spark up that kind of conversation?
March 11, 2013 at 4:40 PM #42737
Love'n HoneyParticipantOyg.. HE DOES BELIEVE! I was eaves* dropping a conversation he was having with another member and the member was saying they they missed him. I guess he didn't keep Sabbath. He told him that he would be able to go Tuesday and the rest of the week. The best I could conjur* up was, "Do you feel comfortable asking questions? Even if the answer given to you doesn't satisfy you, would you continue to ask the same question?" He said after the 2nd time asking he would let it go. Really? Really Renita? That's all you could say?…. sadly yes..
