Claims of the truth, a very bold claim of being God, exploitation of the members through time and money, and a teaching method that might as well be called brainwashing but most certainly is manipulative. Yup, it's a cult. Strange thing is that it's leader says it directly that it is a cult. At least he's not trying to convince anyone that it's not. Lets see if the WMSCOG grabs hold of this concept.

Well, I am sorry to inform you that cults have been part of "humankind" since time immemorial. We (humankind) have a way somehow of getting through these things, although the pain caused by cults is quite severe, especially for families who lose their loved ones to them.
It should be noted that this nutcase wears dark glasses just like his probable mentor, Mr. Jim Jones, of Guyana tragedy fame.
WMSCOG worshiping a divorced Korean woman as god is just as crazy. But look at the enthusiasm of those followers! We noticed similar enthusiasm in some of the WMSCOG gatherings we attended …. hard to fathom, but it is real for them!

I find this cult hilarious and now it’s so similar to the WMS. It was called Creciendo en Gracia.
This Puerto Rican man used to say that he was the apostle Paul and then said that he was the Second Coming of Christ. He used to say that they were all going to be transformed (have “radioactive power”) on June 30, 2012 … It didn’t happen.
What did happen was that he died on August 8, 2013. When he died he was dating a girl called Lisbeth.
After his death, many people came out saying that Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda ‘s new Name was Melchizedek and that he had appointed Lisbeth as the new leader of the church. It didn’t stop there, because then they had to start calling Lisbeth “The Mother”.
Which verses do they use to show that Lisbeth is “The Mother”? Galatians 4:26, Rev 22:17.
Because of this, the church separated in two: Those following the new mother, and those who say that Lisbeth is a charlatan and that they will remain faithful to Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda and his teachings.
They are now in the middle of some legal battles but both sects talking about Jose Luis coming soon.
It’s funny that even though the teachings are so different, you can see how it’s possible for people to start following other people once the leader dies… it happened before, it happens again.
Are they bleeding from their backsides after pushing all of this p oo p out?
