Wow! Who is who? There is just too much going on here and this is the original birth of the confusion. Then we have all the divisions and family breakups. What is really going on?

The following should help see and understand that the second coming of Jesus Christ has not happened yet. The Anti-Christ must appear first before Jesus’ second coming. This whole passage alerts us also not to believe in some prophecy and so on. Jesus has not, and will not come until these series of even occur (I believe we are close). I’m sure some already know this chapter, but for those who don’t know it, please read it word for word. Ask God to open the eyes of your understanding to see this truth. I had to do the same.

Please pay close attention and if possible read over and over 1-4.

2 Thessalonians 2

The Man of Lawlessness

2 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. 3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness[a] is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

5 Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? 6 And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

Stand Firm

13 But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. 14 He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15 So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings[c] we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.

16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, 17 encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

No. I do not say Wmscog is the anti-Christ but that the second coming of Jesus Christ has not happened yet based on scripture. I do, however, say their main teaching is completely wrong. That is, the teaching of Ahang / Zhang and the fulfilment of prophesy.

When I was there they said Nero was the AC, so if ASH is the second coming it would make sense, since he came after Nero.

However, Revelation tells us something that they obviously missed: at 17:8 He once WAS, now is not, and will come up out of the Abbys: (mirroring God's "who is, and who was, and who is to come" in Rev. 1:8)

1) firstly, Revelation was written during the reign of the Roman Empire, so any Ceaser is out

2) secondly…. why doesn't anyone mention that he comes twice?? (again mirroring Jesus' second coming)

3)  to my knowledge no one has ever come out of the Abbys. Yet.

4) and the most important one, which Sarah already mentioned-> AC is destroyed DIRECTLY by Christ (2nd coming)

So if he WAS, then all we have to do is examine history for a boastful figure that lived before Revelation was written.

 

On a totally different note the assyrian minorities in Iran admit to having intentions to resurrect the recently discovered,

well presereved body of Nimrod. (once again.. the great imitaror at his best)

 Smurf, I brang up a similar question to my friend, he says if you look at the bible ( I can't remember the verse at this moment) the bible speaks of a kind and loving God, but it also speaks of a God who comes with fire.  He says do you think the bible contradicts itself?   Is God good or bad?  How is it that God will come to save his people if he is coming with fire!

 God has to come first and teach us his ways, all the things that were abolish first so that his children will be ready when he comes with fire (Ahnsanghong brings back all the feast of God)  then,  Hebrews 9:28  comes in.

Hmmmm. Is God good or bad. Let’s see. I say he is mostly good. Bad will depend on if the person means is God Evil. Bad doesn’t mean Evil. Bad can be relative. Our creator says do this but don’t do that because, if you do that I will have to punish you. However, he does that. Creator who is faithful to his word now punishes him for doing that. Will that make creator bad? I think I have answered in my way. Lol. He isn’t bad but can destroy evil. Same way we remove the weeds from the wheat.

KF, here's a good article about the verses preceeding Hebrews 9:28 that I think is relevant to your comment.  It just goes to show that they completely ignore the context around the verse.  I mean how do you draw a conclusion about this verse when you are looking at the last verse in the chapter.  It's like reading the last line of a book and trying to tell someone what the entire book was about….you're probably gonna be wrong!

Emily, I wonder why some of us didn’t even see this going in. It is so clear, like Wmscog would say when doing bible studies. “So clear.”

I know it took me a while to notice it because of my limited knowledge of the Bible in general.  When the services started getting repetetive, I started reading around the verses they were reading instead of just focusing on the words they wanted me to read.  That's when it all started falling apart for me.

The only thing that made it seem "so clear" was the over-simplification of the doctrine.  When reading the verses out of context and from a very shallow perspective, sure they make sense lol.

No you weren't stupid.  Deception only works if the target is unaware that it's being done to them.  When you figured out that you were being deceived, you left.  Staying after figuring out that you were being deceived would have been stupid.
