MountainMomParticipantNo wonder it takes so much courage to leave. Talk about persecution! Heck, I thought that was what they were so against!

Sarah2013ParticipantNothing surprises me with this group. This is expected from whatever is false. We’ll see more and more to prove what we have been saying.

QuestioninginlaParticipantRemember when Jesus posted photos of those apostates?
Oh wait, I'm thinking of the Sanhedrin ordering Peter and John to no longer speak of Jesus.

Reina412ParticipantWhat website are these pictures being shown?
March 6, 2013 at 10:01 PM #55247
Sarah2013ParticipantWhere did Jesus post His photos? Jk…… 🙂

Yes the picture thing is true. The purpose of them showing the current members pictures of the former members is so that they may not preach to us in the streets. Ive never heard of any organization./church do such thing as if we were criminals just because we dont share the same belief.
You see ? All that happy horseshit love cuddle crap after a baptism is an excuse to snap a picture of you. This is why. They know it's coming, sooner or later, people will wake up.

Sarah2013ParticipantEscariot, you got it! The picture thing was funny to me. I thought God was all knowing or maybe he isn’t after all, since people have to also sign in the “literal” book of life.

oh ok thanks for clarifying Sunshine!

Love'n HoneyParticipantSo what they call it the book of life. I was baptized once before the WMSCOG and they put my name and information in a book at that church. They just didn't call it the book of life.

Do you consider this a form of commitment, Sarah?
Ever had it brought up to you that you signed?
March 7, 2013 at 8:03 AM #55254
SimonParticipantyou had to actually sign it?
March 7, 2013 at 8:09 AM #55255
Sarah2013ParticipantNo. You don’t literally sign in it. Your name and info is taken down. I’m a foreigner, excuse my way of writing.
March 7, 2013 at 8:13 AM #55256
Sarah2013ParticipantQuestioning LA, I don’t believe the “taking down” of such info at baptism had to do with commitment. However, they were desperate to do that baptism even though I kept showing doubts.
I never should have sold out the way I did, and i am ashamed i did that by joining such.
March 7, 2013 at 8:46 AM #55257
SimonParticipantOkay just seeing if it was another difference, as we keep finding many, or just how you phrased it.
March 7, 2013 at 9:28 AM #55258
Sarah2013ParticipantCool, Simon.
March 7, 2013 at 1:29 PM #55259
Love'n HoneyParticipantI didn't sign it either and it was never shown to me after they took my information. There is a study about having your name blotted out, shining brightly, or dimming in the book of life in heaven.

Why would you be ashamed of being a normal human being? The more normal one is, the more one's behavior can be predicted. Check these out:

Love'n HoneyParticipantSo I'm not as weird as my friends say I am.

Absolutely not!
Anyone that has been a member of a controlling group is likely just as or more normal than those who haven't. I have psychological research to back that up. Applying the label of weird to (current and) former members of controlling groups is one of the worse stereotypes ever and it blames the victim as well. I find it incredibly offensive.
