I was recrutied by them and i'm actually really kinda starting to get worried. When I first started going I thought it was all a bunch of crap but i've been studying with them for a few months now and everything is starting to make since and sound so true. However they never REALLY answer anything when I ask they always say "let us learn through the bible," or "we must study the bible more" which lead me to start doing my own research of the questions and who Ahnsahnghong really is. Anyway as i've been reading up on them more I keep seeing the words brain wash and cult come up. I'm not sure they are a cult though, I recently particpated in their passover service and there was well over 200 people who attented it, for it to be a cult numbers would have to be a lot smaller right? I don't know I guess I just want some answers from other people, and i'm asking this myself so I can know if I should get out now or not??????

So why the information control? I have asked this question to many members now and no one has given me a real answer. If a person or a group had the ultimate truth that was capable of saving everyone on the planet why would they keep that truth to themselves? God desires than none should perish and that everyone would have a relationship with him.

As I said I have no idea why it isn't sold elsewhere other than the possiblity no one would even want to carry it, do any other Churches really get Amazon's interest other than the ones run by millionares like olsteen and graham and the like?

Personally I do not see it as information control; I have never really been discouraged from say lending it to someone, at least who will be generally respectful.

Have you seen the variety of books on Amazon?  They'd carry just about anything.

I asked a deaconess about the books, and her basic answer was that the general public was unworthy to read them, and they should be kept for only the believers.

As for information control, did you hear about the non-disclosure agreement (NDA) some members were asked to sign so they would have to return the books and not say anything negative if they left the church?  (It's in the comments of one of the articles here.  I can't find it right now…)

    Maybe Amazon would.

Seems every former member here has had lying deaconesses

We haven't even complained against the one girl who left our church who even made broshures defaming COG calling Ahnsahnghong a sinner false christ and distributing them to members. NDA sounds like a lie to me. She still has her books and veil and everything and stacks of home made flyers that are probably as many as I have ever seen in our church.

Just to be clear, I'm not a former member.  And are you implying that there are many lying deaconesses, or that former members are likely lying?

That's unusual according to the others I've talked with.

Oh my bad thought you were because of you talking to a deaconess but that's just me reading into things sorry.

I was exaggerating a little bit but I have seen a lot alleged of claims contrary to WMC doctrine even from older Elohist magazines that predate my coming into WMC.  Could also be miscommunication or other things. I also wonder how many people talked to the same deacons/deaconesses.

I thought people might enjoy reading the transformation story of one member / exmember. Being invloved with this exchange in part was very challenging and in the end gratifying.
