The COG has a bible study called Weeds & Wheat. They use the Parable of the Weeds from Matthew 13:24-30 and the explanation of Matthew 13:36-43. At the end of the bible study they show the teachings of Jesus and his apostles and then show teachings that came about after 106AD (after Apostle John died). They say that any new teaching after 106AD is what will lead you to hell.

So that leads me to question…isn’t god the mother a new teaching that came about AFTER 106AD? Jesus nor his apostles preached about a god the mother. Throughout the Old Testament, none of the prophets were sent to preach/teach about a god the mother. That tells me god the mother is a new teaching that will lead its followers to hell.

I plead with all current members to think about this teaching carefully. It is definitely a new teaching. It was NOT preached by Jesus. He told us all we needed to know during his time on the earth 2,000 years ago. Jesus didn’t say that at a later time I will come back to reveal a new teaching.

This is so true. Also, the sabbath and the feasts(with the exception of the Passover) weren't teachings given to us. This is another problem with them. Jesus nor the disciples ever actually teach in regards to the sabbath being a commaned we must keep as well as the other feasts. You are right that Jesus did tell us what we need to know. The wmscog just try so hard to make what they say sound God-commanded and absolute.

Serg I agree with most of what you have said. My only disagreement is with your comment which I have highlighted. Was the Passover a teaching given to us? I think that is what the wmscog want us to believe. It is not so. Jesus gave us his body and blood and told us to commemorate it regularly. He never called it the passover. The NT doesn't call it the passover nor does it tell us that we are required to keep the passover of the OT.

If you disagree with me, can we discuss this further? I have posted my comments in some other threads like "Celebrating the Passover" and another one where the starter tried to prove that Ahn is God because he restored the passover.

So far as mother being a new teaching it isn’t from their perspective

So far as appointed times that’s not something they made up at all.

How why where they made up but not when(except third day)

I think we all know who the weeds are in this situation.
