“True love is never about you. IT IS ABOUT THE PERSON YOU LOVE–their wants, their needs, their hopes, and their dreams. SELFISHNESS demands, "What's in it for me?" while LOVE asks, "What can I give?”. And, in return, the more you truly love that person, the more love you receive.”
For one second, let’s put aside differences in doctrines; I see people in this website showing a lot of emotions from an anger coming from a protective father to a mom getting frustrated over her child’s “temporary” delusions. I also see a husband grieving his family’s agonizing suffering to a real mother’s offering a shoulder to a stranger. I also enjoy of those displaying great knowledge and humor. It shows they are as real as they could get.
Once, I watched a movie called "13th warrior". It was about a man unwillingly becoming a warrior, fighting off grotesque beings. At the end, he realizes that the enemy is merely human beings and stands his ground. It was not the best movie ever but it makes me think twice the notion of members of the church being overrated more that who they really are. In my eyes, they are not more than little kids who are lost in the darkest dungeons and trying to find their ways. Yet, their GIANT pride blocks the way. What they need to keep in mind to open up those who really love them and ready to embrace them with NO conditions. Every now on then, I read good news people leaving the church, and that time I really would want to give them a genuine hug-being 6’ 5”, mine would be a bear hug 🙂
Let’s see that they embarked upon a journey to find the truth for the truth yet they failed to see the signs of money hungry organization which orchestrates all foul ways of dominating people’s lives in their favor. What would you do first; you would suck the emotions and leave them numb and train them to be as callous as they could be. All the scare tactics and the world-soon-to-be-ending scenarios would lead members to focus on nothing but strive for heaven. This is where they fail to see what they do is in vain; what they need to understand they don’t need to bargain with God so they could earn heaven. They ought to do it all with love so they could earn what they deserve naturally. Shedding off God-given emotions and replacing with SELFISHNESS will only result in devastation.
Once I knew a man who was a passionate preacher. My observation was, he was able to move people not because he was the most articulate person but he was telling things with his heart. I asked the formula of his success. He just told me every night he prays God with his tears asking his words to reach the bullseye in people’s hearts. I invite everybody regardless of denomination difference to pray for those who are seeking their ways out and let them know that we will always leave the lights on for them.
