Tithing for the church

    Here is my dilemma for those who are members of the COG;

    I was told that the members are expected to tith at least 1/10th of their earnings to the church. In a sense, I see no wrong for an intention of donating God-given earnings to the organization which in return would spend it all for the sake of God as long as the organization is being transparent with spending so as to keep it kosher. Honestly, I really do not think that wmscog does that…

    Now, if the members are encouranged to share the wealth with the church why they are absulately "advised" not to help each other. Supposedly, they call each others brothers and sisters. I cannot think of my brother not helping in case I need help. How can you be my brother or sister if you are not willing to extend a hand when I am down? How could you justify being and doing good if you choose to be obliviant for your fellow who is in agony? If you see me in fire(figuratively), won't you come for my aid?

    Once they told me it might create a conflict if the favor was not returned. In other words, if you loan money to someone who is in need and maybe you will never see a dime of it, it might disturb the "ambiance" of the church. My question would be if you are so eager to give away your earning for the mother, why won't you help those in need? Can't you help someone with no return and just say "pay it forward"? I guess COG is more concerned about hogging the money for themselves…

    What about those who lose their jobs and God forbid don't get a job immediately and skip their weekly donations? They would get an ultimatium to get a job or else… well, in life, not everything is peachy. Maybe, you cannot get a job immediately. Maybe, you cannot work for sometime because of health issues. Maybe,… what I would expect is to get support from my brothers and sisters when I am in difficulty. You are supposed to be my brothers and sisters.

    There was a girl in the place where I used to work. She was a member of COG. She was going through a tough time and having health issues as well. I wanted to help her, but I did not want her to take my approach in a wrong way. So, I asked a friend of hers who happened to be also a member. She told me that it is her problem and she might be paying for her bad deeds. She should be left alone and it is better that she prays God for forgiveness.

    I really cannot make of this church to anything. They are so nice and loving from outside but pretty cruel inside. I don't understand how one can embed love of God in heart where one does not have one…

    All tells me that your complacent beliefs will NOT echo in eternity. And, all soon will come to an end, your highness!

    Lol.

    What are they waiting for now? They claim to have 2 million members. They only needed 144000 to complete the temple. What now? What about the poor 2000000-144000 that are left out?

    BTW what is supposed to happen in the end? Zahng will take them all alive to heaven? Is that clearly and unambiguously stated?

    I think they learned, or are learning the hard way, not to write s/h/i/t down on paper.  Ahn's writings are tearing them a new a/s/s/h/o/l/e right now but that's the story they were telling verbally though.  Given all the other B/u/l/l/s/h/i/t stories they have told, how hard would it be for them to say something like "special instructions from mother", "mother said she wants us to wait 18 more years" because we didn't save enough people yet.

    @Stained
    – Has the member, who is close to you, told you what they have been told will happen at the end? I know it is all 6u115h1t but at least we need them to commit what they think will happen.

    @Emil…when I was a member, we were told Zhang would never die, that she had to stay on earth to “protect” the truth. They teach that after Jesus died the truth was slowly changed until there was no truth left til Ash came & restored everything. So in order for nothing to be changed by satan, Zhang has to stay until Ash returns. But to me that goes against their own study The City of Refuge & the earth. In the book of Numbers, it discusses the punishment of unintentional murderers. They are sent to the city of refuge until the death of the High Priest. This earth, to the wmscog, represents the city of refuge. We were the unintentional murderers who tried to kill “father & mother” in heaven. Anyway since Ash is already dead, in theory Zhang should die so we can be released from the city of refuge $ return to heaven. Not the case according to wmscog. Another one of their studies that doesn’t make sense.

    Funny, this situations seems pretty much the same with what I have read in Matthew 23.  Specifically in verse 23 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel." But anyway, it seems not all wmscog zions practice such. Same religion, diffirent practices.

    Well, those "Superior Mongoloids" were eating G/r/a/s/s and Tree Bark Until the Mighty Mighty U.S. wipped Japan and North Korea's A/S/S for them.

     Check this out:  It's "only for the 144,000" stamped on the cover of the music book.

    That way they have 2 million ppl scrambling to buy and be among the 144000. Shoots up the value by making it exclusive.

    But Ahn is the high priest not Zhang
