Tithing for the church

    Here is my dilemma for those who are members of the COG;

I was told that the members are expected to tith at least 1/10th of their earnings to the church. In a sense, I see no wrong for an intention of donating God-given earnings to the organization which in return would spend it all for the sake of God as long as the organization is being transparent with spending so as to keep it kosher. Honestly, I really do not think that wmscog does that…

Now, if the members are encouranged to share the wealth with the church why they are absulately "advised" not to help each other. Supposedly, they call each others brothers and sisters. I cannot think of my brother not helping in case I need help. How can you be my brother or sister if you are not willing to extend a hand when I am down? How could you justify being and doing good if you choose to be obliviant for your fellow who is in agony? If you see me in fire(figuratively), won't you come for my aid?

Once they told me it might create a conflict if the favor was not returned. In other words, if you loan money to someone who is in need and maybe you will never see a dime of it, it might disturb the "ambiance" of the church. My question would be if you are so eager to give away your earning for the mother, why won't you help those in need? Can't you help someone with no return and just say "pay it forward"? I guess COG is more concerned about hogging the money for themselves…

What about those who lose their jobs and God forbid don't get a job immediately and skip their weekly donations? They would get an ultimatium to get a job or else… well, in life, not everything is peachy. Maybe, you cannot get a job immediately. Maybe, you cannot work for sometime because of health issues. Maybe,… what I would expect is to get support from my brothers and sisters when I am in difficulty. You are supposed to be my brothers and sisters.

There was a girl in the place where I used to work. She was a member of COG. She was going through a tough time and having health issues as well. I wanted to help her, but I did not want her to take my approach in a wrong way. So, I asked a friend of hers who happened to be also a member. She told me that it is her problem and she might be paying for her bad deeds. She should be left alone and it is better that she prays God for forgiveness.

I really cannot make of this church to anything. They are so nice and loving from outside but pretty cruel inside. I don't understand how one can embed love of God in heart where one does not have one…

All tells me that your complacent beliefs will NOT echo in eternity. And, all soon will come to an end, your highness!

@omar when I say rides I mean driving me home or from home to church because I lived far from the church and sometimes there were situations of storms when I would get stuck on a train station very far from church and they will help me get home too.

When I say about taking advantage what I mean is that since most of the members are in terms of getting blessings through helping their brothers and sisters some people use other members help and don’t change or work to change their situation and people who helps get tired if that.

Most of the members get to a point where getting a blessing in Zion (meaning spending their time and money bearing fruit, working at committees or establishing a new church) is more important than helping others. Life is drawn to them as a race and whoever gets there will get there. Many even ask the Pastor if they can help someone before they offer help. That’s what I have seen.

@omar about the pastors. I have seen videos and pictures of the meetings of pastors they do in Korea every year before the Passover or before the Feast of tabernacles ends and I have not seen in the pictures or videos anyone who doesn’t have occidental features.

@omer…to my knowledge there are NO non-Korean pastors. In my opinion, it’s because wmscog is a family business. Since it’s a family business they can keep all of the money in the family. Everywhere there is a big church, there is also a Bigshine Worldwide business…another family business that is somehow affiliated with the church, which is illegal in the United States.

I cannot corroborate I got helped and rides and stuff here

Not everywhere there is a big church is there a big shine and actually nonprofits can legally own businesses in the states done correctly (assuming they are affiliated beyond the same people)

Didn't you raise an eye brown as to pastors only being Korean? In other words, is it okay to pigeon hole people based on their races?

In another topic, I read a comment made by a member saying that his/her pastor driving an old, falling apart car. And he/she was trying to justify the pastors not being rich because of the way they live their lives. Well, I would like to say; just spend a day with me, and I promise I will show people fit in your poor yet being filthy rich.

If one gets to a point for racing to get a blessing in Zion while disregarding virtues of being a good character; being merciful, tolerant to others, caring for his/her family, then one should reevalute the ways wms operates. It will tell alot how true they are. Just be impartial and ask the right questions. Then all will become clear.

So the God's book can be translated and taught in different languages and their seminary cannot???

How long have they been around? I believe more than a decade… No other race is worthy of becoming a pastor?

Yes I can confirm this as well.  I remember a female member telling me that we were waiting for the end and that when we get that call from "mother" we need to "flee to zion".  She said that she cannot even stop to pick up her child before fleeing and that "father and mother" would take care of her child being saved.  WTH!  You Mean WTF ?

I also remember a high ranking member having a health problem that could easily be taken care of with a 1 hour doctor's visit (don't want to be too specific here because I would like to protect that person's identity).  This person had no health insurance but was suffering great pain every day.  I remember questioning my family member and saying, why doesn't the church help her?  I kind of made a big stink about it.  Of course, a few days later my family member made sure to tell me that the member had the problem taken care of.  Geez. I also remember discussing tithing with another member who didn't have much money.  If this member donated what he/she felt she needed to, the the other bills would not be paid.  So they decided that they would give the money anyway because if they had enough faith, "father and mother will provide".

There's an invisible Korean Man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do, of every minute of every day, and the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do, and if you do any of these ten things he has a special place full of fire and smoke and burning torture and anguish where he'll send you to live and suffer and choke and burn and scream and cry for ever and ever till the end of time, BUT HE LOVES YOU !  Now you talk about a good B U L L S/H/I/T/story, Ho Lee S/H/I/T.

Brilliant words dear father Stained.  For, I am not worthy.  For, none of us are worthy.  Your grace overwhelms us all.

Remember that they teach that the Mongoloid type of human is a superior race in the “Six day creation lesson.” That might be a reason why all Pastors are Korean.

Yes! Omer has spoken correctly. I know they had a meeting which I attended. It was initially one of those study the pastor gives, then he made it a point to add and instruct us on not giving or helping out other members. If I remember correctly, the instructions were said to have come from HQ. That was the last time I attended Wmscog. Either God wants us to execute love unconditionally or He doesn’t. From those instruction, I came to my final conclusion that they are NOT of God.

That's what I heard when I did that study.  Those ideas aren't totally theirs.  Except for the part about them being the superior race…I think the wms added that on their own lol.
