QuestioninginlaParticipantThe usage of the word "cult" should be taken with great care and consideration. I understand its use out of anger. However, the branding of the word has come to mean "strange people", "weirdos", "people that worship false gods", while in reality – and I have stated this many times on these forums – research shows that destructive groups recruit normal everyday people. Thus, the usage of the word has the exact opposite effect of what it should – that being to recognize our world no matter who we are or what group we associate with, with free and sovereign thought.
Matthew 7:12, "The Golden Rule", if you were in a destructive group would you want people to talk and act in such a way as to help you recognize your environment? Because people in them don't really have any critical thinking skills. It stops at "I'm not a weirdo", and reinforces them to stay in, imo.
Its not criticism, just my thoughts – so to clarify.

Sarah2013ParticipantYou are right , Questioningla. Just that in my case, I get so upset for having been associated with Wmscog and ashamed for that matter, that I often forget there are others yet to come out. It’s a cult but I’ll try to refrain from it for the sake of the innocent members. However, I don’t promise to be too nice because I assure you the powers that be behind them won’t return the favour.
