This should be kept secret

I think personally that this information should be kept away from members and those higher within the WMSCOG.

    Why?

Well, there is a lot of content on the web about them. I MEAN A LOT! And, although some are just members who left, there is also, many facts.

It is now becoming harder for members to WAKE UP.

    Why?

Well cause they know what to defend themselves against. They are preparing. Youtube, come one it doesn't get more mainstream than that. All the top links on google (including this one). This information is not hard to find. And thus, easy for them to prepare when a fellow member raises the questions.

I disagree.  They already know what to defend themselves against, and I don't think the biggest problem is the defense anyway.  I think it is the pre-emptive strike they do on the family to prepare their recruit ahead of time.  They have the recruit set up on what to expect, how to act, and what to say to their family before they even tell them of their deep involvement.  It is, of course, a shock to that parent when the son/daughter doesn't believe  them over virtual strangers with hidden agendas.  Most parents have never dealt with this type of thing before, and they react just how the church tells the recruit they will: with incredulous disbelief and with a great deal of anxiety and anger.  They have the recruit set up ahead of time, and an argument usually ensues because the parent doesn't know what hit them and they can't believe what their  kid is spewing at them.  SET UP!

The other obvious set up is when they have the member set up to be all paranoid that their parents are going to have an intervention, and there is none planned, it is completely imaginary.  Just a tool used by the "church" to give the member a negative attitude toward visiting family. The member comes home all paranoid and angry, ready to argue about something that isn't even in the works.  I can see a member falling for that once, but wouldn't you see a pattern if it's a lie three times? (I know someone who didn't)

@jambo3…I also disagree. I was a former member and it was this website that saved me from the clutches of this group. We were told not to go on the Internet to see what the slanderers had to say. In the end, the wmscog drove me to look for the info I found here. They had so much crazy going on, I decided to see what exactly what was going on. The church is panicking trying to do damage control from everything posted here that they’re just making a mess of things.

I am glad this website exists. This site helped me a lot in the beginning. The wmscog can try and come up with all the defensive tactics they want, but they can't keep it up for much longer. They can try and advertise themselves through winning awards or all these campaigns but that doesn't imply they are truth. The church can try and make all these vidoes and counter measures but they are waisting their time lol Like honestly. They seem beatiful on the outside, but inside they are dead and lifeless. The number #1 priority is church. Not family, not anything else. Just that church. They don't care about anything else, just about recruiting and doing everything they can to keep members in. Going through a tough time? Guess what? they will not help you. There is the "fake" love. Not true love. To them its all "Well, just pray to father and mother" or "you are going through this because you're still living in sin" etc. I dont need to go further lol This site is doing good in revealing all the lies. Let's keep it that way.

I see where you are coming from. I did not know that they told their membres to NOT look into the web, which is why i said what i said in my original post. This changes everything.

In reply to what MountainMom said, what if in this case; instead of a son or daugher, it is vise versa. It is a parent? How do you deal with that. And im talking about, no matter WHAT YOU SAY, nothing seems to get them to even think logically or independently for even a split second. It is like it goes in through one ear, and out the other. They have got this down-pact.

I'm pretty sure that they have already prepared their current members to hear all the slander from the "Ron Ramos" guy who left after 12 years.

And, it crazy. Because the family member that this is currently happening to, is the last one we would expect it to effect. He/she would never just give up pretty much their life for this.

I can see how people claim that this breaks families up. I really can, these are not people who are just talking down on this church. Becuase, truthfully they are wonderful people. But, uughhhhhhhh –  that, is how you feel when a family member of friend of yours is tricked into this.

@Jambo:  Well, I think it would be even worse if it were a parent because parents are used to making their decisions without listening to anyone, especially not their kids.  Anyone who is in this group is extremely hard to talk to because they give up their critical thinking skills completely.  They are told to "think with the mind of mother," not with their own minds, and that is what they do.  It is hard to imagine the limits of what they can do to people who are completely under their control.  As the saying goes "absolute power corrupts absolutely."

And yes, they got their damage control people out in force long ago on the Ron Ramos subject.  Videos all over the place, but fortunately, their videos are really bad and transparent!  Lol!  Anyone still thinking normally can see through them totally.!

Hang in there Jambo, you are not alone, and this site really helps me to cope with the horrendous situation of having a family member imprisoned in this farce.  I hope it helps you and others.

Hi Jambo, welcome to our forum. I understand your idea about how the cult could try and use this information. Here's what I would suggest; get as many of the WMSCOG members as you can to come here. There is so much information here that even if they can dispute some parts of it there is still a mountain of stuff that is so truthful that they will have no choice but to see its validity. Many of the previous cult members that have gotten out has been due to a combination of things. 1) They find out some truth that contradicts the WMS, and 2) The WMSCOG members and or leaders say or do something that triggers doubts. This is one of the big reasons why the end of the world predictions of any group is catastrophic to their membership. Cults are their own worse enemy. By their nature they are full of absolutes, ridged practices, and unacceptance of outsiders especially people who question their teachings or docrtines. One of the easiest ones to prove for us is when a member of the WMSCOG says, "We only follow the Bible!" This is a nice big lie that can be easily shown for the lie it is. They will defend this position all day but in their hearts and minds they know that something is wrong when it is pointed out to them. That's where forums like this are very very useful. I hope you can get more members to look at this information and I will pray for you and your family member. Feel free to PM me if you like. I will share my story with you.

Thanks everyone who replied and yes it is harder.  The parent won't listen to a sole or thing.

I'm thinking about showing himher the proof of business entity affiliated with the church… but at this point I doubt anything of it.

The reason I'm masking gender is because I wouldn't want them crawling around here knowing I'm talking about them.

Anways its like a constant everyday battle. I try and bring up facts that don't evem belittle their church. Just general life things. Like how he/she can go from work to church EVERYDAY, and then on your days off as well. They say its free will and they can go and not go when they feel like it… all of us affected by this know very well its not true

    Anyways I
