I have started reading a book about the Worldwide Church of God. Some of you may recognize this cult from several of the cult watch groups. This group was founded by their General Pastor Herbert W. Armstrong who many of us believe to be a false prophet. This book is called, "Coming to Grips with the Law of Moses in the Worldwide Church of God "Difficult Scriptures" written by David Albert. I just started reading this book but I want to quote part of the preface to you. "The 1990's have been a time of considerable doctrinal change and reform for us. One of the biggest lessons we have learned, rather belatedly, I admit, is that the law of Moses is not required for salvation. This came as a shock because, unlike members of most mainstrean denominations, we in the Worldwide Church of God truly were Christians living under the law of Moses. Thankfully, most of our members have come to understand and agree with these doctrinal changes even though that task has usually not been easy for them.
This forward also states some of the practices they realize that they are not bound to, "members of the Worldwide Church of God did not eat "unclean meat" such as pork and shellfish, paid not one but two, sometimes three tithes, observed a seventh-day (Saturday) Sabbath and celebrated annual festivals such as the Days of Unleavened Bread and the Feast of Tabernacles.
I know that many of the members and ex-members of the WMSCOG will recognize similarities between these groups. This group has discovered the errors in some of their doctrine and have made efforts to correctthe false truths that they once defended. The WMSCOG has the opportunity to admit just how in error their doctrine is and I am sure that there will be members that would stick around and try to make things right. There will also be people that will want to cling to the old traditions and that will probably want to splinter off and create their own false religion. One thing is certain, the WMSCOG would have to pitch the harlot that lives off of them out into the street, scrap the old doctrine, and start over again seeking God with fear and trembling. Is there hope for them? YES Will they realize it and embrace it? I don't want my oppinion to cloud your judgement about this. Food for thought people.
How does insulting Joshua keep people from this site? If anything, 'true' members of the WMSCOG will be embarrased by you. I know I was whenever one of my Brothers or Sisters lost their temper. You're so quick to anger.
If no shots are fired I have no reason to fire back.
He insulted Mother, atleast the apostle was able to cut off the servants ear, and then be rebuked, I will swing and take my rebuking afterwards.
You're supposed to learn from their mistakes and not repeat them. Your rebuking could be far worse so why take the chance?

FTOS, Joshua, I think it would be best if you two stopped responding to each other for a while. I know Joshua, you started the thread but it becomes pointless when the discussion degerates to personal attacks.
FTOS, you gave Joshua's example of a personal attack and hit back hard. Please understand the difference. Joshua attacked the wmscog, not you. You, on the other hand, have attacked him personally.
Then I should make this clear to everyone. Any attack on the wmscog I will take personally so I will ask you phrase your accusations respectfully. Any attack on Mother is an attack on me so I will let that be known.
You still must be respectful if you have mothers mind because she is respectful (or so WMSCOG testafies)

Emil, FTOS could possibly be referring to Genesis 3:15. Another reference could be Revelation 12, but I don't think so. We shall see…..

Gen 3:15 is written about a future event. FTOS made a statement in the past tense. I ask: When did it happen according to FTOS?

I know how she would judge you if she were God you need to repent whether she is God or not
if she is God you block her glory if she is not God you worship a false God either way I'd hate to be in your shoes
