Thank you for sharing Brian. I agree this is very powerful and truthful, and appreciate his honesty and bravery in sharing his experience. It is also helpful, and confirms our fears of what our son may be faced with when he leaves this group. These videos of former members can be heart wrenching, but at the same time, the bare truth is so important for us Loved ones in preparing for how we can best help when our Loved ones are ready to come out.

This video is so very honest and makes me feel  both sad and angry for what this group has put their members through.  Use, use, use, and then discard them to fend for themselves and repair damage on their own.  Like garbage, really.  They treat their former members like garbage that has worn out it's use. 

I guess I would say to former members, look to the family that you are now estranged from.  No matter what you did, they will take you back if you reach out to them.  I can't say your reconnection will be easy, but I can say it will be worth it.  You should sit down and have an honest talk with them about your experience and theirs, too, while you were in that "church."  Because whether you know it or not, your time in there damaged them as well.  Our lives are hijacked the same as yours while you are in there.  We can't go on with our lives either. 

C.H. is a very brave man to make that video.  I applaud him and all the others who spoke out.  Exposing this group for what it is and does is what will really help.  And I hope talking through it on the videos is therapy for the former members.  It seems to be.  Thanks to all of you who have done, and will be doing videos.

Yho! I just couldn't stop laughing at some of the parts of the video, especially that part about the video games :'D

The guilt and the deception used by the cult are not god-like qualities at all. So Chris if you get to read this then I'm glad you got whilst you're still young. You still have time.
