There are several post about the toung but I felt the need to make another one.

Today I was reminded about how there is life and death in our toungs. The other part of the message is those of us who are teachers will have a greater judgement, and greater responsibility.

Do you remember the old saying, "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me."? Many groups use this saying especially when they are justifying political motivation. (I bring up politics just because we are moving into that season again.) What these groups seem to fail to realize is that this saying has a Christian foundation. That's right, Christian! It's a quote from a Christian publication dated back in March of 1862. Here's the whole quote, "Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never harm me. True courage consists in doing what is right, despite the jeers and sneers of our companions."

    James 3:1-12English Standard Version (ESV)

3 Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. 2 For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body. 3 If we put bits into the mouths of horses so that they obey us, we guide their whole bodies as well. 4 Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. 5 So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell. 7 For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, 8 but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. 9 With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. 10 From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. 11 Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water? 12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a salt pond yield fresh water.

Once again, this is where the WMSCOG and especially its teachers FAIL! Too often the leaders of the WMSCOG speak gossip and death about their members and especially their former members. What make this even worse is that we are all created in the image of God so by speaking death about their former member, current members, other churches, and people in general they are speaking against the God that made them. Oh Snap! Not only does that suck but it proves by their own words and actions that they are NOT Gods church or Gods people. These folks in teaching positions will be held to a higher judgement and currently should be held to a higher standard by each other and their congregations. What do they preach? Don't question anything we say. We're right and everyone else is wrong. Who does it right if not us? Where can you go that you know they are doing it right? If you know that they're not right then we must be right! (Guilt, slander, double talk, thought stopping, gossip, circular logic, manipulation, you get the idea I hope.) If you are involved in this you need to get out right now! Start by looking at all of the scriptures surrounding the scriptures you have been taught to study. You are going to find that a ton of the things you've been taught are taken completely out of the context they are presented in. In other words, you've been manipulated! To use a shorter more simple word, you've been lied to! There spring is full of salt water. It never satisfies and always leaves you more thirsty and in need then before you drank it.

This is a warning: If you are teaching the studies of the WMSCOG you are in for a greater judgement and those who are benefiting from your efforts could care less about it. Take some time and learn the Bible for what it really says before you go regurgitating what has been spoon fed to you.
