Matthew 23: 13-36 Jesus pronounced specific problems with the religious leaders of the nation of Isreal.

    • They kept others from entering the kingdom of heaven (vs. 13)
    • Their actions did not match their pious-sounding words (vs. 14)
    • They bound people up in mere religiosity (vs. 15)
    • They were more interested in material wealth than is true worship of the living God (vs. 16-22)
    • They were picky about the minute matters of the Law while allowing the major matters of the Law to go unaddressed (vs. 23, 24)
    • They were ceremonially clean in an external sense but were totally filthy on the inside (vs. 25, 26)
    • They gave the appearance of righteousness while being full of hypocrisy on the inside (vs. 27, 28)
    • They self-righteously boasted that they would have stood with the martyred prophets while at the same time they themselves were trying to kill holy men (vs. 29-36).

I think that Jesus message to the WMSCOG is the same message that He gave to the Pharisees. Matthew 23: 33 "You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?" Such words may seem harsh but there is good reason for it.

Well, I guess that the WMSCOG guessed that part right. They are always saying that history repeats itself. The didn't recognize the true messiah before and they don't recognize Him now.

They don’t want to is all. Don’t blame the members it is those behind the scene that are corrupting the masses.

I guess that the WMSCOG doesn't want to argue the Word of God. Pretty good decision if I may say so.

Joshua, harsh words sometimes, when from a biblical perspective is necessary for the human race. The truth is often bitter to digest but in the long wrong, we will be glad to have digested it. I understand that not all believe the Bible is the true Word of God or even accept the Bible as truth, but for those who do, I believe we have to take both the soft and hard teachings.
