That, IMHO, is hillarious, pathetic and cowardly. What kind of man would write an article like that about a "Lady" (with a capitol L) her ex husband and their marriage! Even worse, what kind of a man would allow another man to write it!

I didn't think this would be possible but I am really "Embarrassed" (with a capitol E) for the wmscog and Victor and your ex husband.

Michele, please don't even lower yourself to respond to this cowardly, pathetic, unmanly "thing". I said "thing" because I don't even know what to call it!

I doubt part 3 will ever get posted but if it does, I wish they would replace those roses with a baseball bat!

I am staring at this screen completely speechless………what is wrong with these people?

Wait, I just thought of something, what will god the mother say when she reads this?

Ooops, my bad I forgot she can't read english so they are safe from her wrath, she will never know about it!! (Lucky for those guys)

But this is typical of most cults when they come under scrutiny: attack the persons character.

It is so typical of the Wms to smear people (dare I say persecute?) when they speak out.  But, you expected it, as all of us who know them did.  So many people are speaking out now that they will soon have their heads spinning on their shoulders trying to figure out who to target and harrass next.  In my opinion, they target the strongest and most effective foes, the ones who do an excellent job of exposing them.  So, Michele, you and a couple others I know can take it as a back handed compliment of sorts.

I have some ideas on that, but I better not say them here, Lol!  Why do I always think of the joke answer first, and then think of a real answer?  Just the way my mind works!

By the way, Michele, they are smearing Ron Ramos and Brian Taylor too.  It appears they are just flinging insults and calling Ron Ramos names, but they are also saying that Brian was paid to make the videos against the church because he is some kind of tech person.  They don't know what they are up against, do they?  They have people who are simply speaking out because it is the truth, and the cause is so great that everyone who does it is doing it because it is the right thing to do.  It isn't about money, not for us. They need to understand that.  There is just no way you can stop people who know they have a higher purpose to help others and stop something wrong from enduring.

it is the first move.  Donald Trump is a smart guy, like it or not.  What he does, he does by design and research.  Notice, a candidate that is critical or newsperson that is critical is – almost always – "a horrible person".

those videos are for members "doing research on the internet".  viola, they will watch that and be convinced they are in the right place, after all.  they seek not truth, which requires both sides of the story*, but rather to confirm that what they bought in to is legit, and these videos supply it.

anyone tech savvy should do a video that shows testimony of Jehovah's shunning, and that group featured on HBO, which made a video to smear every former member speaking out against them.

*You will notice that the group is a step ahead, using this logic (of "both" sides of the story) to their advantage: "I would like to present the side of the story that has not been covered yet: the story of Michele Colón’s ex-husband."(source:Michele Colon Ruined Our Marriage Pt.1 – The True WMSCOG)

I learned in college that it is always easier to pick apart an argument to support a viewpoint.  The one picked apart is at a huge disadvantage to rebut the rebuttal.  And, in this case the members go back and tune us out.  Its almost impossible.  thats why I'm arguing to focus on the themes and show how other groups do this, so that this group loses some of its "special" status as the "only ones who do this or that".  calling them a cult is a problem, too.  for reasons I still stand by in a thread specifically on that topic.

Hey, I thought I told you to get lost LOL Does anybody really care what they write and publish in their own "newsletter"

Here's a quote from their little story: After I read a certification that was submitted to the court, I reached out to Colon’s ex-husband, and this is what he told me:

Ok, so where is her husband? Come on buddy step up and tell the world or this small portion of it, that everything this guy wrote is true!!

I think his name is Marc but I'm not sure, so come on Marc, step up and tell us if this story is true!

No righteous lying now, tell us the truth

Yes, where is this guy?  Have they moved him somewhere, which they are prone to do?  Step up to the plate, mysterious ex.  Why sit there and be talked about by others when it's your story supposedly?

@Michele I think it wouls be humbling to see the emails, and affects. From the article I can tell that WMS watches this site, ALOT. What they fail to realize is that they show their fear and lies.

I would love to post a real wedding photo.  We were very much in love.  The cartoon-ish one they used in one of their articles is absolutely ridiculous.  They seem to go to great lengths to make it seem as though I am bitter over my divorce.  I had never wanted my marriage to end the way that it did but I have moved on and I am very happy in my current relationship.  I hope that my ex is very happy in his arranged marriage.  I heard that he was married off to an older woman who needed her US citizenship.

Still…no one should have to suffer through what I did in my previous marriage because of this cult.  So I speak out in an effort to warn others of the possible dangers of this group.  Btw, I am not the only one that has had their relationship/marriage destroyed by this cult, even though they try really hard to make it seem that way.  Others have been telling similar stories of broken relationships for like ten years.

If you are a member reading this, do your research.  Click on the links tab above and read through other older blogs and see for yourself.

@Michele Its pretty sick, for an organization to do this. They are showing their true colors, more and more. Tim McCarty and others lost their marriages to. I personally know of an ex-brother, whose wife was coerced into an abortion (and they were married at the time of the pregnancy). Its bad enough that they coerce single women into aborting their babies, but married couples to? They have been trying to improve…before I left a single sister had a baby, and she wasn’t married. The Overseer tried to make sure he was seen as much as possible, hugging the baby, etc.

I personally know all kinds of people with heart rending stories of how the Wms destroyed their marriages.  And not only their marriages, but affected little children who were so hurt by the break up.  How can a person allow the church to come between them and their spouse when that is a sacred vow?  And how can a person just roll over and give up their children for a pack of lies?   I know of guys who no longer see their children at all because they are separated from their spouses and "just don't have time" to keep the relationship with their little children going.  It's horrific and heartbreaking for all concerned.

And I can guarantee you that the Wms does arrange marriages.  I know of so many people where this has happened.  All the pastor has to do is say "Mother has said you should marry this one"  and that is all it takes.  Mother doesn't even know the member, so may we conclude that the pastor is simply manipulating the member so the Korean girl/guy can get citizenship, or even worse, be in a close relationship to monitor their new spouse and maintain their membership?

I don’t know if anyone else has noticed anything different about the behavior of members with regard to their families lately, I believe because of the lawsuits. I have a son in four plus years and a daughter he recruited a year ago. My son hasn’t been home since the day he got in. He told me over a year ago that if I died he would not come to my funeral because there would be no reason to. He said there was no reason for him to ever come home( because he tried to recruit me when I went to visit him and did not get in.) My daughter only spent a few days here over summer and called us idol worshippers and refused to eat with us and said she would spend all our pagan holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas) at Zion. Brother Vic has influence over both their churches and my children. My daughter came home for two weeks over Christmas and said that everyone in the church went home. I think they were told to. They had Q & A about what to do about eating at our table and Christmas presents (she was told to accept them just don’t say they are for Christmas) etc. She acted almost normal. I asked her if the lawsuits made a difference in these things and she said definitely. They filled out questionnaires trying to prove the church was not so controlling and it had questions about members not being forced into Korean marriages. My son has been over seas but was in NJ area recently. The shocking thing is this last week my son came twice in one week to our town to see his brothers and sister and even came to our house and came in and talked with his dad. He never mentioned the church and acted totally normal. He would not make eye contact with me but that’s ok. It is very perplexing….

@momsix They are being told to do these things, trust and believe. My wife was a title holder, and she was told things based on lawsuits. The overseer began to say, “You guys know you can take a vacation right? ” But like Ron Ramos said, “its not what they say, its what they dont say”.

Building plausible deniability.  That is what they are doing.  It is very sad to me because you want so badly to believe they are doing it on their own.  They aren't.  They don't do anything without the direction of their handlers.

The overseers have told them to reconnect however minimally, to protect the church in the wake of the lawsuits.  It is easy to see through that.

Notice they never apologize for hurting you, neglecting the family, etc.  They can't.  To do that would be to deny the church, because the church (pastors who are like deities to them) instructed them to do what they did.  To admit they made a mistake or were wrong to follow the directions of their pastors, overseers, etc., would be to deny God the Mother in their eyes.  That is how I see it.

@mountain Yes. They will never admit their wrong. They also know how to mince truth and lies, and what NOT to say. Notice how in the NewJersey article, Pastor Daniel stated…”You will never find any written evidence that the church claimed the world would end in2012″. Correct. Nothing was wrotten, published by them. But they said it. They insenuated it. It was made known, clearly. But what I fail to realize for the Elder members and Korean title holders is this; They know that 2012 has been pushed, when it didnt happen, why didnt they leave?

I actually do have something printed on how they calculated 2012 as the end date.  It also talks about how the bridegroom is coming, and we shouldn't sleep.  It is in Korean, but I had the mother of one of my students translate it.  The numbers themselves did not have to be translated, they were just numbers showing the year.

I also wonder if they never said 2012 was the end, then why did their whole church think it was happening then?  Why was my son frantic to recruit, telling me that they told him the end was coming in 2012, and maybe even before, so he had to go out and "save lives."  Why did a long time member tell us that if it didn't happen in 2012 they should bar the doors of the Chicago Zion and put a padlock on it?  I mean, he had been in for a long time, and he definitely was sure it was going to happen.
