THE REALITY OF THE WMSCOG's TEACHINGS.

I was brainstorming this morning when God gave me a revelation. After holding it up to the Word of God to see if God was really reavealing himself to me I decided to post it for everyones comments. This morning it was impressed on me that the WMS does not really read the Word of God. The word is taken apart, rearranged, and put together in lesson form to support whatever topic the WMS wants. It's a man made interpretation! Does God need a translater? NO! When we don't understand Gods word we are to pray for discernment and seek Godly counsel. When you're not really reading Gods word instead you're letting other people interpret it for you it opens you up to whatever those people want you to believe. It's no wonder that there are so many misinterpretations in the WMS teachings. Even when God tries to talk to a WMS member directly or indirectly (through others) the message doesn't match up and the WMS says that Satan is trying to steal their faith. Calling God Satan because the teachings are man made has got to be one of the greatest sins of all. The WMS will answer for this one day! I pray that the WMS members will open their eyes, remove the veils, (both literally and figurativley) and start reading Gods word as he gave it to us. Many things of God are not easy to understand and I know that one of the things the WMS pushes is that Gods word is not supposed to be a mystery but it clearly states that Gods ways are mysterious. Once again, this is Gods Word not mans interpretation of it. Please stop taking more and more lessons and start reading Gods word as he gave it to you. When you get confused, and you will, pray to the one true God to give you clairification. The more you trust in God the greater he will be in your life. No one can do this for you! You have to make the choice to believe the truth.

I want to bring this out of the archives for the people who haven't read this. If you read all of the post you might also see the transformation of thought processes between the people posting here. This time frame was really a powerful impact for me and my loved one. I hope others will get something out of this as well.

I should say i still think bible study should be more than just reading verses but it should be more of a two way street than wmscog does it

but technically my answer was sorta true at the time I had found none (yet) I shoulda paid more attention to teaching vs actions at the time

On the topic of conflicts in the bible, I would like to present probably the earliest one here about which I would like a response from former wmscog members at least.

The wmscog uses the creation story in Gen 1:26-27 to claim that God the Mother exists because male and female were created in the image and likeness of God. While there are a few arguments we can present to refute that claim, I would like to point out the creation story in chapter 2 where Adam is portrayed as being created long before Eve. On that basis, it can logically be presumed that Adam was made in God's likeness while Eve was then created as a helpmate for Adam.

I am presenting Gen 2:7-24 here for convenience:

7 Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

8 Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. 9 The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

10 A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters. 11 The name of the first is the Pishon; it winds through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold. 12 (The gold of that land is good; aromatic resin and onyx are also there.) 13 The name of the second river is the Gihon; it winds through the entire land of Cush. 14 The name of the third river is the Tigris; it runs along the east side of Ashur. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.

15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

19 Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals.

But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

    23 The man said,

“This is now bone of my bones

        and flesh of my flesh;

       she shall be called ‘woman,’

for she was taken out of man.”

24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.

Male and female are both in the image of God time lapse is hardly relevant to that.

(Not that it makes “God the Mother” exist)

I completely agree with you. I too believe that male and female are in the image of God.

But it becomes relevant when Gen 1:26-27 is used to claim that man was made in the image of Father and woman in the image of Mother because both Father and Mother were present and jointly created the two in their individual images.

Adam was made before eve for a reason wmscog has a mothercentric explanation for that one

    Yeah but:

    1. Adam seems to have woken soon after the surgery. Ahn hasn't.

    2. Eve came into being after Adam fell asleep, Ahn supposedly introduced Chang before falling asleep.

This one is a little harder to read but please try to put aside the arguments posted here. We were all in a different place at that time and I am glad to say that we are all doing well right now. There are several very valid points made here but one of them that really speaks to me is how the Bible states directly and indirectly through over 500 scriptures that there is only one God. The WMSCOG has to omit at least some of these scriptures in order for their doctrine to work at all. Bad news people.
