The Constantine Debate with my Bro.

This just in guys! I chatted with my brother thru facebook and I gave him a site that says something about "Emperor Constantine" not abolishing the Sabbath day and that Christians started worshipping in Sundays 288 years even before Constantine was born. (http://www.trektorome.com/did-constantine-abolish-the-sabbath-in-321-a-d/)

This is his UNBELIEVABLE REPLY: It doesn't matter who did it, the important thing was that someone did abolish it thus fulfilling the prophecy in the Bible. Believe the Bible, not the people that spread the lies" It was really, really at the tip of my tongue to ask him if he was an idiot, but I held it in since I've read that I couldn't convince him that way. But really, can't he get anymore stupidier in joining that stupid cult?

So I asked him (as uninsulting as I could), But how did you know that Constantine did it? What is your proof that it is not a lie? Do you have a book or something that confirms it? He STUPIDLY replied again, "DUH! It's in the Bible, it's a prophecy, you can't really know who would do it. That's why its called a prophecy!"

I think I just pulled most of my hairs off out of exasperation. If the situation wasn't so funny, I would have cried myself to death!!

Oyg! I remember our first service. My good friend and I were dying on the inside when they started singing.. ironically, I joined the choir later. But at first, it was the funniest thing.

Well, one of things that I couldn't get used to is their Korean prayer to Ahnsanghong, the one that they recite at the end of worship. Coz I don't know korean language, all I could think about was that it sounded a lot like a culty chant in a movie, it practically gave me goosebumbs. You know the part where they sacrifice young virgin to demons in exhange for something. Just goes to show how wild my imagination is sometimes.

I always hated the choir in Denver Zion, it was annoying to have some people singing then the Korean "conductor" bowing after for waving his hands around.  It all seemed pointless and pretentious on that part.

We didn’t have a conductor. But we all bowed at the end in unison. The music sounds very beautiful. There are many songs I like that I would never hear in a predominately* black church. My favorite is Come You Fount of. Every Blessing…. don’t know the title but absolutely love the song.

I like any songs that pertains to God, but when we get to the part where they sing about ahnsanghong or god the mother, I always stop my singing. Then when that phrase passes and mentions God again, I would continue.

problem wasn't the music was the concept of a choir. I think everyone should sing. Also the idea of a choir bowing isn't so bad its the idea of a guy who does nothing buy wave his hands around bowing as though he accomplished anything.

That's a Christian hymn.  There is a section of their "New Song" book that uses traditional Christian hymns and adjusts them a little (or a little more) to fit.

I actually suggested one song to my brother once, I think it was entitled "Jesus take the wheel" and I liked its message. He just said, "I do not like songs that does not contain god the mother." LOL.

LOL. It's really hard to understand your comment here because of the multiple actuallies but that really makes it funny. What do you mean by this? They have a song that stated that we can't be saved by Jehovah or Jesus? What song is that? Can you post the lyrics? LOL.

I like the having a choir because I like to hear songs that sound pretty. In zion, everyone sings but there is 1 song reserved for those who have singing as a beautiful gift. Surely god loves to hear everyone sing but we want to give the best offering (smile) iaw the wmscog.

If it wasn't so funny, I would have cried with the irony of it all.

<to which I ask in my fakest Korean accent> Actually, what is the actual difference actually ?  What actually did I actually say actually that actually, prompted you actually, to say actually, no actually ?  What actually do you mean actually ?

The difference is that they teach jehovah, jesus, and ahnsahnghong save you. Technically, we are waiting for jehovah to judge the world because ahnsahnghong is jehovah. But the you cannot call on the name jehovah because god doesn’t answer to that name anymore. He answers to ahnsahnghong now, iaw the wmscog.

I'm curious.  I know they teach that the name of the savior changes with each age.  So it's like God doesn't answer to the old phone number right?

What do they say about WHY God would do this?  *Why* would God change His name?
