This just in guys! I chatted with my brother thru facebook and I gave him a site that says something about "Emperor Constantine" not abolishing the Sabbath day and that Christians started worshipping in Sundays 288 years even before Constantine was born. This is his UNBELIEVABLE REPLY: It doesn't matter who did it, the important thing was that someone did abolish it thus fulfilling the prophecy in the Bible. Believe the Bible, not the people that spread the lies" It was really, really at the tip of my tongue to ask him if he was an idiot, but I held it in since I've read that I couldn't convince him that way. But really, can't he get anymore stupidier in joining that stupid cult?
So I asked him (as uninsulting as I could), But how did you know that Constantine did it? What is your proof that it is not a lie? Do you have a book or something that confirms it? He STUPIDLY replied again, "DUH! It's in the Bible, it's a prophecy, you can't really know who would do it. That's why its called a prophecy!"
I think I just pulled most of my hairs off out of exasperation. If the situation wasn't so funny, I would have cried myself to death!!

how can that explantion help with damage control. The older members can not be that naive, unless of course they do stop preaching, but for like a couple of weeks, and then come back with a believeable excuse,like mother said more time, but then what will they do in the mean time, watch movies all day? it would seem like the end if we don't see them in the malls or campus, that would be erie!! by the way I was taught that mother said father was coming this year. Hey anything can happen in matter of seconds and there is 30 days till the end of the year, so only time will tell.

They never said when Ahn was coming (as of last time I went to WMSCOG) only that this was an important year in prophecy and that the feast of tabernacles would be fulfilled.

NO WAY! Simon you are contardicting what you say here. In an older post you stated that
"mother told the overseers that father was coming this year", do you not remember posting that, so why do you say now they never said that. Your right they didn't(church) mother did, and she is the head of the church, she is suppose to be GOD.

NO Simon, you did say, confriming that mother told the overseers group father was coming this year, I can't find it now, but I will, because I remember well what you posted.

I just thought of something reading your post actually…
WMSCOG uses Daniel 7:25 to say the Catholic Church changed the times and the laws. They teach Sabbath was changed in 321 and Passover in 325 BUT they teach the prophecy was from 538-1798… may be a way you can use that to your advantage.
If Constantine had already changed the laws in 321-325 how can the Catholic Church have done it from 538-1798?
I don't know how to phrase this well but
- if it was abolished and necessary other curches keep the "feasts and days" as WMSCOG does so recognizing they abolishment cannot be a sign of "the one true church"
- if the church were run by "God the Mother" she would be able to tell us the correct who and when(omniscient) and would do so (cannot lie) but does not do so (321-325/538-1798 conflict)
- even if the prophecy was fulfilled in abolishing "seven feasts" and sabbath WMSCOG cannot be one true church
