How many of you have heard that a large congregation cannot receive salvation? I remember that being taught in the WMSCOG. They equate Mega Churches to the rich man in Matt 19:16-24

Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?” “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.” “Which ones?” he inquired. Jesus replied, “‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’” “All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?” Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

They also claim they don't boast about themselves, only God. They say they don't boast about celebraties but only of Father and Mother. Well, I was reading a sermon they have posted online entitled God Is the Only Solution. The beginning of this sermon speaks about how large their congregation is (over 2 million registered members, not current) and how they are in magazines and on the news. They then compare their congregation to the size of other Christian congregations. But wait, GP threw a disclaimer in there explaining he's not mentioning this because the bigger church gets heaven. Oh no… He's just saying that a lot of people are realizing the truth. Yea.. Ok.. You're boasting. We all see it! Why do you have a shrine of all the awards you've received on your website? Why do you constantly remind people that your church is in the news and magazines? Why do you keep referring to the count of registered members? Why do you refer to the Princes or Presidents who have visited Zahng? Are they not celebraties? If none of that mattered for the salvation of the sinners, then why mention it? One word. Advertising.

Yup I remember hearing something very similar when I was a member.  They seem to be on a serious PR campaign over the last two years or so.  One can only speculate as to why.
