There are times in your life when situations present themselves and you're not real sure what to do with them. I have exchange students coming to my home from Japan. For those of you that have been reading the forum for a while you might remember my post about the belief system of many Asian cultures. In Japan the dominate religion is Shinto. In the Shinto religion there are over three million gods. That's right, I said over three million! There is a god for everything. The most popular god is the bringer of rice. In Japan there are over thirty thousand shrines dedicated to this god. Kinda makes sense because it's a major part of their diet. If you visit Japan you might eat rice with every meal.

Here's where I have a hard time. (Also why I titled the post the way I did.) How do you share One True God with folks that have a belief in over three million gods? I've tried to explain it as all of the gods wrapped up in one but that's like saying if you take all of the horses in the world and splice them together you have the creator and most high of all horses. See how it really doesn't work. What happens if you try to tell someone outright that what they believe is wrong? We've got lots of results of that here. I guess what I'm saying is help. I need ideas.

Personally I don't see how this is commercial other than the use of the word "Sale". I think the best bet would be to explain to the CEO how it actually works and ask him to suggest a better name that wont run afoul of him. These guys love it when you show them they are important enough to suggest a suitable name.

But then again, I don't know all that much about your laws and system.

Emil, that's funny, I guess code enforcement officers have a "universal ego code." I thought that was just in the USA.

Joshua, sounds like you need a permit for a garage sale. Sometimes we think because we're doing a good thing they will just let it go but it never works that way and these guys always think you have a hidden agenda. From his point of view, he can't allow everybody in town to have a sale every day. I know that's not what your doing but he doesn't and he also needs to justify his salary. Don't argue with the guy just go get the permit, they can't deny you unless your town doesn't allow garage sales. No good deed goes unpunished

Not in my country they don't. They find faults just so as to make some money on the side. They will not tell you how to fix it, just what is wrong. One thing at a time. Until you reach the stage where you find it easier to pay him off.
