    There are times in your life when situations present themselves and you're not real sure what to do with them. I have exchange students coming to my home from Japan. For those of you that have been reading the forum for a while you might remember my post about the belief system of many Asian cultures. In Japan the dominate religion is Shinto. In the Shinto religion there are over three million gods. That's right, I said over three million! There is a god for everything. The most popular god is the bringer of rice. In Japan there are over thirty thousand shrines dedicated to this god. Kinda makes sense because it's a major part of their diet. If you visit Japan you might eat rice with every meal.

    Here's where I have a hard time. (Also why I titled the post the way I did.) How do you share One True God with folks that have a belief in over three million gods? I've tried to explain it as all of the gods wrapped up in one but that's like saying if you take all of the horses in the world and splice them together you have the creator and most high of all horses. See how it really doesn't work. What happens if you try to tell someone outright that what they believe is wrong? We've got lots of results of that here. I guess what I'm saying is help. I need ideas.

    It is about the same here in India. Hindus too have millions of gods. But you know what? This makes them a very tolerant people. I have Hindu friends who have no trouble accepting Jesus as another god. This is a very good entry point for evangelization. I think of Paul in the Acts of the Apostles telling the Athenians that he can help them identify the unknown god whom they worship.

     http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindu_deities Although Hindu have millions of god. In hindu scripture it's mention of One god

    Q.

    Brahma Sutra of Hinduism:

    "Ekam Brahm, dvitiya naste neh na naste kinchan"

    "There is only one God, not the second; not at all, not at all, not in the least bit."

    but why we are praying many Gods?

    So, there is only one GOD in Hindu Scripture then who is he ??????????????

    That is Almighty GOD JESUS I can prove through hindu scripture because I was Hindu before it is also written in bible verse.

    @Love
    – There is wonderful book called "Divine Harmony" written by Arvindaksha Menon who was a Hindu Brahmin for most of his life. He has shown how Jesus was prophesied in the ancient Vedas and Upanishads. The description of the person called Prajapati is very close to Jesus. This was from far before the time of Isaiah.

    I have mentioned this before. There is a couple who we are close to. The woman has joined the wmscog over a year ago. This has caused a lot of problems for their family. Unfortunately, before this happened, we had moved to another city and moreover, my wife, who this woman was close to, was abroad for a few months. By the time we were told about it, it was too late. She is fully trapped.

    That is when I heard about the wmscog and started researching it. I do not have any close family member in the wmscog but I am concerned because they are taking souls to hell.

    Here's my next soup sandwich: I run a charity and as part of my fund raising efforts I put on what I call a "Free Garage Sale". Everything at my sale is 100% free for whoever wants whatever it is that I have at the sale. I ask people to donate if they want to but it's not required. If they want something they can have it. A couple of days ago I got a visit from a local code enforcement officer who stated that me "Free Sale" was a commercial business and is illegal. I have done two of these sales this year and I am really struggling to understand how this is wrong. All of the funds collected goes to help families in need. Any expences for this effort my family covers so 100% of the donations go to help the families that really need it. What are your thoughts about this? Mine are not God centered at the moment.
