When I was a member, I was told that people who had left the wms had gotten sick, gotten into bad car accidents, etc. Did anyone else hear similar stories?

but you had the passover right, or was it expired, then again look at what happen to the boy in SD he died and he was a member & his parents.

SimonParticipantJust about how you can lose protection from possesion if you leave. and how people who leave really change

Love'n HoneyParticipantBad things are supposed to happen but worse things have happen to me while being in the church. But the PO is only effective as long as you have faith.
November 9, 2012 at 4:09 PM #46945
jellybeanParticipantI heard many stories from "satan will take you" to you "will die." The truth is that if you believe in what they are telling you when you decide to leave you will carry on that negative energy and it might happen negative stuff to you because when they tell you that they are actually trying to set it up in your subconcient. However if you do not believe in that you wont carry all that negative energy and is not like your life will be perfect or anything but you definetelly can reconstruct your life and recover your family after this spiritual abuse.

Love'n HoneyParticipantTrue. That’s with anything. I love the saying, whether or not you believe you can, you’re right. Your attitude and beliefs greatly change how rewarding your life comes to be.

KCParticipanthere in asia the wmscog usually give that hidden threat speech about you will die (heart attack, accident, some form of sickness etc) or have a very bad luck (losing your career or business) if you leave.
November 9, 2012 at 7:12 PM #46948
Love'n HoneyParticipantWell I have conquered my bad luck! I was homeless with no money for 2 months. Got beat up, daughter was run over by a bike and kicked by another kid (on accident) which fractured her arm. For the past 3 weeks everything is good. =) smiles all around.
November 9, 2012 at 7:33 PM #46949
KCParticipantyou know what sicken me the most about wmscog? if they heard you experince all of that, instead of feeling sorry and have even the slightest compassion (afteral they say WE LOVE YOU alot) they will actually be very happy and interested about it and start saying things like " look! thats the proof about what going to happens if you dare to leave!"
November 9, 2012 at 7:45 PM #46950
Love'n HoneyParticipantKind of like, I told you so.
November 9, 2012 at 9:20 PM #46951
justasitisParticipantI am at a loss to come to terms with the total lack of compassion and therefore love, that arises with wmscog members to horrendous disasters that have happened (and will probably still continue to happen) to people in this world – with their first response being a celebration of the events being a proof of the fulfillment of 'their' prophesies. Even if 'bad' things are often given to us as a way to learn what we otherwise wouldn't, but it never can be ok for me to celebrate anothers' pain and suffering.
November 12, 2012 at 12:52 AM #46952
LyssaParticipantYeah, I've been badly sick off and on since August (the time I visited the church with my (ex) fiance, and I haven't been back). I also happened to start college at that time, and my great grandmother died so, I feel I was just more suseptible to these sicknesses. My ex claims it is because I didn't have the passover and didn't go to Zion so that's why I was so sick. I'ts just not right that they're saying those kinds of things to people, and they definitely should not be getting away with it.
November 12, 2012 at 1:45 AM #46953
Love'n HoneyParticipantLooking at it from they’re point of view, its not a bad thing. If I didn’t wash my hands before handling food and didn’t cook the meat thoroughly I might get sick. And when I do, my mom might say, its because you won’t wash your hands. You’re sick because you won’t cook your food properly. I doubt your (ex) fiance said that with malice. I’m almost certain he said it out of concern. He believes if you keep PO everything will get better.
But if you did keep PO and still got sick, he would say it was satan attacking you. Lol. I believe that no matter what you do, your ultimate fate was to get sick. Whether your exercised more, ate healthier, took PO, or did nothing new, the sickness would still fall upon you because that’s what’s supposed to happen. But its funny how the members (human beings) know why things happen like they’re god or something..
November 12, 2012 at 7:06 AM #46954
ElaineParticipantA deacon shares some experiences of PO and what wonders it can do?.
3 people travelling in a car 2 were cog members, the car flips and rolled over 3 times one hurt but the cog had not even a scratch on their body. On another occasion one of the member desired to have fried rice and there was no restaurant around so prayed to MJ and his wish was fulfilled. After a good fill he went around proclaiming this is true church, PO saves…
Probably this person before he set out failed to google for restaurant in that location or the accident was bound to happen for many reasons But sadly they consider the Internet satan that keeps them ignorant and so continue to live in an imaginative PO world even if disasters befall or pass over them LOL I feel the COG have used PO as an indirect remedy/ miracle tocover up the powers lacking in their God's
November 12, 2012 at 2:48 PM #46955
KCParticipant"i told you" so or not, showing a gladful attitude when watching disaster videos is just sick and lack of compassion EVEN for a cult
November 12, 2012 at 6:34 PM #46956
Love'n HoneyParticipantBut you misunderstand. I didn’t rejoice because people were hurt. I rejoiced because the suffering was believed to be almost over. I am the kind of person who always looks at the brighter side. I keep a smile as often as I can. Wow, there’s a huge flood in so-and-so ville. That’s sad.. but father is coming and all those people who died will be preached to in the spirit world and hopefully accept the truth and go home with us in the end! =) that was me before and during the COG. It is still me now. I’m not heartless I would just rather smile for the good than frown for the bad.
November 13, 2012 at 12:18 PM #46957
jellybeanParticipantSomething bad might happen if you leave… we wont have your tithes and offerings and your faithfull hard work in the church that means we are going to go preaching and find someone that does all that or better than you so we keep up with our target of baptism this month.
November 13, 2012 at 2:26 PM #46958
KCParticipantexactly jellybean 🙂 thats their exact mindset, specialy about the baptism quotas that even their own preachers and recruiters from korea is pressed on.
November 13, 2012 at 3:05 PM #46959
angelikkeprParticipantBy the way… Do someone knows why after every baptism they take pictures of that person? That is so weird!
