Over this last year I have been able to talk to many people who were lost in the WMSCOG but came to know the real truth. For some reason many of these folks do not feel comfortable coming into any forum with their testimonies or discoveries. They could come in under a made up name but they are still afraid that the WMSCOG will discover who they are and sue them as they have seen the WMSCOG do with others. In a way the WMSCOG still has these people living in bondage. I do understand their point but some of their discoveries are very helpful and insightful. Never having been a member of the WMSCOG myself I do give these folks special attention in order to understand what the WMSCOG is and how they choose to operate. Currently one of my contacts that doesn't want to post has been working on discovering the psycology behind some of the things the WMSCOG does. How the human mind is affected by trigger words, repetition, focused prayer or chanting, rapid baptisum, memorization, peer pressure, preaching practice, and so on. Some of his findings I have not posted because I have a hard time verifying the accuracy of his discoveries. I don't doubt what this man has shared with me but I do want to be able to back it up independantly. One of the key areas I have a really hard time finding information on is what is taught in South Korea at the Elohim Academy.

Fear, secrecy, intimidation, what exactly are we supposed to think about these tactics? They are done on purpose but denied irreguardless of the numerous testimonies stating the facts.

As I continue to learn more from former members I will keep bringing the information to you. The truth will and is being told even if some choose not to believe it.

Thank you for all your efforts, Joshua!  Another reason it is hard for some former members to post is that they experience guilt (undeserved guilt) for what they put their families through while involved in the wmscog.  They are still traumatized by their experiences there, and haven't healed enough to talk about it.  I totally understand that.  And I understand their families putting their healing above anything else, wanting to shelter their loves ones while they recover.  They just want a semblance of normal life back.  They will come forth, I believe, as soon as they can.

Your opinion that they are afraid of being sued is also a very valid one.  They apparently sue people who don't have a lot of resources to fight them.  We really have to stick together and help one another.  Bullying people isn't right, and we can't let it go.

True, MM. We won’t all be the same. Some are not as strong mentally as others so I can see your point.

Give it time Joshua, many will boldly come forth.

My heart breaks for many of these people. Many times people who realize that they've been lied to turn away and refuse to trust anyone. They suffer in silence because they feel that they cannot deal with what has happened to them. Healing comes over time but not if the individual keeps the pain bottled up inside of them. They most often describe their feelings as being spiritually raped. No one has the right to do this to a person but we live in a fallen world were this kind of thing does happen and it happens to good people who really want to serve God. After these events some people choose to even turn their back on God because He allowed them to go into a destructive group and be abused. Sarah, I hope you are right and they come forward. Getting it out in the open will only help with the healing process.

Joshua…. My dear friend. I have sinned sooooooo many times before God, and man but I made a cautious effort recently to watch my ways. This is why I am fighting hard. They will come out. I had my share of not wanting to hear anything about God, but I couldn’t keep at it for he was on me. They will act in rebellion and even fight his word as I use to do. It’s a harsh world but we must continue to fight. I often feel sorry for the owners of this site knowing how wmscog feels about them. Or us, rather.
