We have been debating a lot here and now I am curious to know how black men and women feel about Ron’s comment. He didn’t make that up and if old members of his time want to be honest about it they’ll stand up. I didn’t know “God” would discriminate. Why would God not want black children preached to?

king34ParticipantI dont know about blacks but I know those koreans love to have more white brothers and sisters. can you hear the cashingg@!!!! sound
February 20, 2013 at 6:18 AM #54139
Sarah2013ParticipantYea, no one ever know about the blacks there. Kinda silent issue. I’m certain I won’t get much comment on this matter. Lol.
February 20, 2013 at 5:56 PM #54140
SimonParticipantboth deacons I had were black one was a 6 year member the other I do not know much about
February 20, 2013 at 5:59 PM #54141
SimonParticipantalso my zion was a small % white mostly black and hispanic
February 20, 2013 at 6:31 PM #54142
king34ParticipantI think thats why also they are pushing for more whites to come aboard. Hispanics are more prone to believe in their teaching than any other race out there
February 20, 2013 at 7:49 PM #54143
SimonParticipantI don't know the entire time I was there we preached pretty equally
February 20, 2013 at 7:50 PM #54144
SimonParticipantIn fact the town is predominantly white so that fact we have few whites if anything would show we preached to them less I don't know
February 20, 2013 at 8:59 PM #54145
Sarah2013ParticipantYes. I know they have blacks but they once told the leaders to stop preaching to them. My point is does that sound like God?
February 20, 2013 at 9:04 PM #54146
SimonParticipantbut why haven’t we stopped then why are all the blacks being put in positions of authority? doesn’t sound compatible with what he said
February 20, 2013 at 9:12 PM #54147
Sarah2013ParticipantI believe what he said. I know the guy. He isn’t one to fabricate.
February 20, 2013 at 9:16 PM #54148
SimonParticipantexcept neither am I
February 20, 2013 at 9:28 PM #54149
Sarah2013ParticipantAll this goes to show that wmscog are not consistent in a lot. Things are always changing in confusing ways. That’s how I see it.
February 21, 2013 at 2:23 AM #54150
SimonParticipantexcept the six year black deacon came from los Angeles being preached to in the time period he said they weren’t preached to
February 21, 2013 at 3:34 AM #54151
Sarah2013ParticipantRon wasn’t the only one present when they were told that so it’s a testimony of more than one. The question is are they bold enough to admit it. See, I don’t really get offended by racial slurs because I for one have a lot of mixtures (literally) in me. My point in all this is, “why would a True God discriminate?” Even Satan hates the human race because God loves us so much.
February 21, 2013 at 3:47 AM #54152
SimonParticipantthe question is why did they preach to black people while being told not to? if that’s the actual command
February 21, 2013 at 4:41 AM #54153
Sarah2013ParticipantIn due time we will find out why. Could it be because of economic crises. Some people will only shop at Saks but when the economy crashed they flooded Target and Marshalls or even Goodwill. The answer is in your question.
February 21, 2013 at 4:46 AM #54154
emilParticipantHere's what I think. Just a thought.
Officially the priority is to preach to whites. However, anyone else you bring in is also counted as your talent. In my own efforts at bringing Christ to people, I have found that the wealthy are always less receptive to the Gospel message. Those who have various kinds of problems with health or finance are more open.
So when people go out to preach, they find it easier to build up their talents by going to the most vulnerable ones. I hope this comment is not taken as racist but it is generally perceived that the average white is better off than his/her black or hispanic counterpart, which makes the latter more vulnerable to the evangelist's approach. It is natural, just as water flows down the easiest path, to build your talents from the most vulnerable pool.
I know that my friend in the wmscog tries desperately to build up her talents (number of people brought in) because she has seen others getting medals awarded for getting 10 talents.
That could explain why the people at the grassroots preach to blacks and hispanics while the official preference is for whites.
February 21, 2013 at 4:46 AM #54155
Sarah2013ParticipantRemember, I don’t believe anything about Wmscog. I am that certain. The truth came to light for me and I am confident with what I know now. In fact, if you really want to know I am as certain as Jesus Christ was in knowing that He is God. That’s how certain I am that they are not who they say they are. The Bible (Word) cannot lie.
February 21, 2013 at 4:50 AM #54156
Sarah2013ParticipantOnce again Emil, I agree with you here. No offence taken as I get your point. You are debatably correct.
February 21, 2013 at 4:54 AM #54157
Sarah2013ParticipantExcuse my spellings I often use British and American way of spelling words.
