I hope it does not happen the same as it was before last year. I really feel bad for the good people that stayed in the church because if dissaster comes and the buidlings get damaged they have to pay it from their pocket and fix it.

JoshuaParticipantI'm sure that this group put boards over their windows just like everybody else. Is this a sign of faith that their zion is protected from disasters? We all know the answer to that question. As far as damage, I don't wish injury on anyone but if God took this cults buildings down to the foundations I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. This kind of thing would be a wake up call for many of the member that have been preached a fairy tale for far too long. I hope many members denounce this cult and its false gods and prophets. Time to get real.

jellybeanParticipantNew pictures of this dissaster have been posted in The Weather Channel's website where you can see pictures of the Dissaster in New York and if you know the location of this church in the different areas of New York City and New Jersey you can estimate how much damage they got. In this situation they always try to cover any building damage to support their belief and if for any reason anyone goes and ask a leader about it you will find yourself being rebuked and told "how little is your faith."

jellybeanParticipantI definetelly do not wish death or injuries to anyone I hope everyone is okay because we all know that this is what they believe in to and they totally believe is true so mostly they are acting in what they consider to be true and they believe into and the extra food and water saved in their dorms for the last day will be totally consumed so they will have to go shopping again.

EmilyParticipantMaybe they will use the hurricane to pull another publicity stunt like they did with the last one we had. Here's the link:
Ridgewood church lends a hand – NorthJersey.com
They reportedly were the ones that called the newspaper when they were already on site helping out with the flood. Just looked like another recruitment effort to me. We'll see if they try that again. If anyone sees any reports online or elsewhere please post.

SimonParticipantNever heard of a tax exemption that didn’t automatically include sales tax

Religous institutions (along with various government and educational institutions) through various states can apply for tax exempt status when purchuasing materials for the property. WMSCOG does not have one in NJ or PA and therefore all members who purchuase items get the deduction.. Nothing but the church's insurance, property tax and morgatge payments are paid for by the church.
Interesting how in one of the states that you mentioned they tended to say that the morgage was high and they would ask for donations for that specific matter. And yes they would print a form for you for your taxes at the church for you to apply it to your taxes on january or at the beginning of february.

angelikkeprParticipantNot in all the countries… If they are “hiding” from the goverment, they cant do it. An example? PR! Lol

The tithings and offerings pay the churches morgatge, insurance and property tax. Hence why all repairs are made by the members along with all items purchuased. Along with your tithes and offerings, they are tax exempt and why Mitt Romney says he gave $30 million to charity.
Just some FYI but the morgtages are not in the name of the church but in the name of a Pastor or someone else.
I see. What they would say is that not everyone was tithing and that it was not enought because many did not have a full time job. And this location had around 800 people. For individuals in some states you have to have donate a certain amount or over in order for them to consider to put it in the taxes because I brought my form and they told me that It is suppose to be certain amount and that my amount was not in that range.

SimonParticipantI think it is wmscog speaking out their you know what
November 5, 2012 at 12:25 AM #48175
EmilyParticipantHere it is. 660 WMS members went to “aid” those affected by the hurricane in Hoboken, NJ. Why did they choose that town?
November 5, 2012 at 1:20 AM #48176
JoshuaParticipantPerhaps their home church there got damaged and they want to cover it up before anyone realizes it. Just a thought.
November 6, 2012 at 2:22 AM #48177
jellybeanParticipantI hope everyone is okay and that this situation gets better. Many in that church give 10% of their salary to the church and aproximatelly 30% of their check is deducted for taxes. Plus oferings, and feast offerings and belong to a comittee also costs. Cost of life over there is not as low as other places because is too close to New York City. If they had any lost they will be messed up for a while economically.

SimonParticipantscarey never thought of that part

EmilyParticipantPublicity stunt? Why do they “love” a “spiritually dead” Prince Charles?
November 6, 2012 at 6:45 PM #48180
Love'n HoneyParticipantThey love everyone. Plus, the prince could be a brother. He just hadn’t been baptized yet. (sarcasm)
November 7, 2012 at 3:06 AM #48181
SimonParticipantSame thing as We Love You Tim Tebow or whomever else they did it with :
November 7, 2012 at 6:50 AM #48182
ElaineParticipantSo would it mean the same "WE LOVE YOU" if the Pope were to visit SK. Since mother's teaching are all about Serve, Be Patient, Be Joyful, Be United, Give thanks, Love each other…….
I was told to watch one of their videos "I have already come" appeared that the whole song was just another brainwash lyric and lov displayed on the community service was more like a military march or a protest.
I was filled with such pity to see the finale of the "We love you" gesture it took me back to my Kindergarten days. The difference is here we see adults taking the place of little ones or it was like I just finished watching the movie "I robot"
November 7, 2012 at 1:34 PM #48183
Love'n HoneyParticipantThat is true. A child of god has no hate. We are to show pity a love to those influenced by the devil.

JoshuaParticipantThe origional greek and hebrew refer to the "name" as being the "authority of." So far, all of the church's I've attended (which are quite a few) baptize in the name of the Father, in the name of the Son, and in the name of the Holy Spirit. Never had I heard actual names used. With the manipulation used by the WMSCOG I can fully understand a person feeling like the've experienced something real when the are baptized under this belief system however, given the proper persuasion I could make a person feel like they experienced something real baptizing them with any three names. The psycology used against members to obtain their control is a powerful thing. This baptizum experience is just one more of the cults control methods. If it felt like something real then why would you ever turn your back on it? I'll bet your doubtful about the any three names thing aren't you? Imagine for a moment that I took the writings of three fairly influencial people in history and I showed you how they nurtured and cared for you even though they never knew you. Let's go with Ben Franklin, Kevin Trudeau, and Bill Cosby. With their writings I can show you that although you've never met these people and they've never met you they care about people just like you. I could provide a common link, a certain spitituality to their thought process and once I have you believing it then I offer that to you. Why would you not want to be a part of that? So I baptize you in the name of Franklin, Trudeau, and Cosby and because you believe there's something there it feels real to you. It has been given power in your life because you chose to believe it would. It's a deceptive use of influence designed to bring you into bondage and to take away your humanity. To turn you into a unquestioning follower. This is not the way of a loving god! Jesus does not want human puppets! He came to bring us life and to give us life more abundantly. I hope that you all understand about the authority of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The truth stands on its own and the truth sets us free.
