In a recent conversation with someone who visited the Zion in Chicago, it came out that one of the "mentors" there told this visitor that we were all angels who were kicked out of heaven. I have heard this before, of course. This visitor was asked what crime might be bad enough to be kicked out of heaven for? The visitor quickly replied, "Tax evasion?" (I had to laugh!) The "mentor" said, "No, not tax evasion, murder or something of that magnitude."
Anyway, in talking to this visitor he was saying that there are billions of people in the world, and if we are all sinners who used to be in heaven, then the wmscog makes heaven seem like a place no one would want to go! After all, there were billions of people there who all did something like murder or something nearly that bad! Makes you wonder why they are all striving to get there, doesn't it?
Do members of wmscog who have children look into their sweet little babies eyes and wonder what horrible crime that baby committed in heaven? If so, that is just so sick and wrong. Yet, that is what this visitor I talked to was basically saying. I guess that is why they minimize the importance of family and children in this church. Definitely not what God intended, I'd say.
