Are there any RULES enforced by the WMSCOG that do not appear in or come from the bible

Sarah2013ParticipantHats?? Why do they wear these hats? Seriously, when I used to attend church, not Wmscog, I was 100 percent only interested in the pastors teaching. I’ve seen one or two here and there that I may have liked at church at the time, but I am one of those that as soon as the service was over, I’m out the door headed to my car. Lol. That message was really all I came to get no matter what. Doesn’t mean if a man I like talks to me that I snub him, definitely not!

Love'n HoneyParticipantThere are so many perverts at the churches I used to go to. Ugh! Even one of my Uncles is a pervert. ANYWHO! Yes!! The hats.. I think they wear it because Paul spoke about the cover in 1 Cor 11. If we didn't where a hat, the ladies wore a pretty piece of lace on their head. Kind of like the veil in the WMSCOG but not so long. It wasn't a requirement but you were respected more when you did cover your head. I am easily distracted whether if it's by a cute guy or an ugly guy. I would find myself wondering how someone could be so comfortable leaving the house being so ugly. Sounds mean but people say and do mean things to ugly people. Idk if I could take it.
March 26, 2013 at 10:07 PM #57293
Sarah2013ParticipantGosh! Lol.
March 26, 2013 at 10:23 PM #57294
Love'n HoneyParticipantYou can't tell me you haven't thought the same thing without lying..
March 26, 2013 at 10:28 PM #57295
Sarah2013ParticipantYes, I have. But beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Everyone thinks their child is pretty or handsome but I may beg to differ on that. I really believe we can’t say for sure who is or isn’t ugly. Quite frankly, nobody is ugly just different appearance.
March 26, 2013 at 10:37 PM #57296
Love'n HoneyParticipantI can agree.. What is true ugliness? I don't think it exist. I think it's relative like hot and cold. I think any discriptive word is relative. Like a good sermon. For it to be good, you have to have a sermon to compare it to. Once you've heard a better sermon, that other sermon won't seem to be as good.. or maybe it will. Idk…. off topic. =)
March 26, 2013 at 10:45 PM #57297
Sarah2013ParticipantSatan is true ugliness especially in his now “real form”after his fall.
March 26, 2013 at 10:52 PM #57298
Love'n HoneyParticipantNo, satan is the most beautiful. =) God said so.
March 26, 2013 at 10:55 PM #57299
SmurfParticipantThat was before he fell
March 26, 2013 at 10:57 PM #57300
Sarah2013ParticipantHe has been stripped of it. Don’t you remember?
March 26, 2013 at 11:04 PM #57301
Love'n HoneyParticipantNo I don't. Remind me which verse says his beauty was taken away.
March 26, 2013 at 11:22 PM #57302
Sarah2013ParticipantEzekiel 28:12-15. Notice the tense used. Remember also he was cast out before the creation of man.
March 26, 2013 at 11:24 PM #57303
Love'n HoneyParticipantPast tense. Ok, what does seal of perfection mean? Was satan perfect?
March 26, 2013 at 11:33 PM #57304
Sarah2013ParticipantBefore he was cast out of heaven he was perfectly sealed. Same way Adam and Eve where perfectly sinless at first knowing no sin. But after he rebelled, that particular angel lucifer, and his cohorts no longer posses any of those beautiful qualities in full. This is why Satan can appear as an angel of light and as evil darkness. Unlike Michael and Gabriel and the rest who are good and sold out to God.
Also, if you are one of those who believe he can make physical manifestations to those who dabble into deep satanic rituals, then you’ll understand he can appear both hand son and ugly physically. A lot of sick ducks going on in this world. The other good angels only assume the pure and angelic form-though may be startling to man.
March 26, 2013 at 11:49 PM #57305
Love'n HoneyParticipantIsn't desire a sin? Isn't that what coveting is?
March 26, 2013 at 11:50 PM #57306
Love'n HoneyParticipantEve desired to gain wisdom before she ate the fruit.
March 27, 2013 at 12:46 AM #57307
Sarah2013ParticipantNo, friend. Desire is not sin at all. She desired due to the free will bestowed upon her. The action she took as in choice, due to that free will led to sin because it was in disobedience. God said do not! Yet, she did. Until our thoughts are spiritually or physically carried out, it isn’t sin. Yes, the bible says if we look at a woman with lust in our hearts we sin. But mind the key word, which is with “lust” in our hearts, with intent to go against will fully, nasty thoughts and not simply admiring the beauty she possess.
The same God says, I, meaning God, will give you the desires of your heart. Is God now saying He will give you sin? The sinful desires? Of course not. Desire is a burning want in your heart good or bad but not sin itself.

ShugyoParticipantSpeaking on rules I didn't really agree on the extensive preaching periods. Sometimes my wife would spend soo much time preaching she didn't have time to do the house work. I know when I was a constant member I would bring my preaching clothes to work so I could change over…lol. It became so much of a burden that the joy of it was lost. I actually used to be a joyful member…but again when things started to be "laws" for lack of better words I just lost the desire.
March 27, 2013 at 1:21 AM #57309
Sarah2013ParticipantHi shugyo, it’s called “Things Falling Apart.” There is a reason God made do with Leviticus practices and Jesus being the ultimate sacrifice. When too many rules start to surface it becomes overwhelming causing some good things to go bad.
March 27, 2013 at 1:44 AM #57310
HarryParticipantoh man Shugyo, your wife would preach so much she didn't have time to do the house work?? That sucks!!! ahahahaha Hey bro I'm Harry and i decided to get hammered for passover, it was the lesser of 2 evils!
