lol
First of al, rev1:7, so you are saying Jesus will fly down on the clouds and every eye will see him. If he “flies down” in China, how can those in north and south America see him?
Eyes don’t refer to physical eyes haha. Jesus called the pharisees blind guides, were they really? Physically, no.
Again, rev 2 speaks about 7 churches, which you are interpreting in you own way. Yes it is rebuke, but it is not for us, but for the people in the church of Pergamum (313AD-538 AD) This was the time when Rome became christian and christians stopped being persecuted, but exalted (hence promotion). During this time, the truth of God was abolished and people were keeping easter (food sacrifices) being unfaithful to Christ by not keeping Sabbath, keeping saturnalia, etc (sexually immorality) and so forth.

Hi Adam, glad to meet you.
You asked how people in the Americas could see Jesus if He "flies down" in China? Well, beyond something supernatural, which God is perfectly capable of, have you noticed how we get news from around the world? With modern technology (especially the internet), what's happening in one place can be instantly broadcast around the world.
Also, you said:
During this time, the truth of God was abolished ….
The WMSCOG says that the truth of God was no where to be found on earth for … please remind me how many years? 1200 and some? Salvation was impossible during that time period, right?
What about …
"On this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it." (Matt. 16:18)
"And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matt. 28:20)
Are you saying Jesus did not keep these promises?

I'm confuse I thought revelation was for future, not 313AD-538AD. Since it's the last book in the bible, how could the prophecy of the 7 churches happen at that time period? Does anyone know what year revelation was written? I have heared that revelation does not happen in order, which makes me wonder, but for it to have been fulfilled at that time, no I don't understand it.

RahabParticipant1 & 2 Thessalonians: 49-51 AD
1 & 2 Corinthians: mid 50’s AD
Galatians: mid 50’s AD
Romans: 54-68 AD
Colassians: 65 AD
Ephesians: late 50’s -early 60’s
Philippians: 61-63 AD
Philemon: early 60’s
Hebrews: 60-90 AD
1 Peter: 65-90 AD
Mark: 66-70 AD
Matthew: 80 AD
Luke: 80-95 AD
Acts: 85-90 AD
John: 90 AD
James: 70-90 AD
Jude: 70-90 AD
Revelation: There have been two main positions regarding the date of the book of Revelation. The first is that the book was composed between 64-70 AD, prior to the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD and prompted by the persecution of Christians toward the end of the reign of the Roman emperor Nero (54-68 AD). The second view is that while the book of Revelation draws on traditional material and on sources written prior to the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD ( e.g., chs. 11 and 12), it probably reached its final form toward the end of the reign of the Roman emperor Domitian (81-96 AD).
1 & 2 Timothy, Titus: 90-100 AD
1,2,3 John: 100-110 AD
2 Peter: 115-120 AD
This is what is have found so far as to the dates when the books of the New Testament were written. Some books are more definitive on their dates, others are more approximate,

donttrustzangParticipantive heard around 100 ad for revelation but ofcourse this is coming from wmscog… also yes this study always confused me, many times we would tell ppl revelation is about the future, but for some reason, not chap 1 and 2… the whole 7 churches is a HUGE THEORY, theres no proof beyond what the pastor said…

SimonParticipantthe 90-100AD comes from before WMSCOG so its accuracy cannot be determined by their claim

Genny has a point here, so what are they going to say about Matt 16:18 that it was 2nd CC that said this. Jesus was speaking to Peter. If you start to read from Matt 16:13 it says that Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, could this mean in that area he would build his church, or was he refering to Peter, as in with Peter he will build the first church, since Peter means Rock.
Does anyone know where the region of Caesarea Philippi is located today?

RahabParticipantRain,
When you speak of the church being built, what is your definition of this church? Is it an actual physical place or building? Or does it mean something else?

well as Genny stated above, matt 16:18, & matt: 28:20 to my understanding God's true church has to be some where or Jesus did not keep his promise. To me it's physically & spiritualy, i hope i'm not confusing you.
