Since I know that this will be read not only by ex members but by MEMBERS as well, I couldn't contain myself from adding this topic. As I was reading the comments that the video had, I bumbed into Missionary Alicia's comment. First of all, I love the way these members are led to leave comments on their videos but acting as if they are not members. As if they are random people that came across these videos and posted their own realizations video. (And dont say no, because we all know the game) I was one that was told plenty of times to do so. Besides why are you people even looking at you tubes videos, isn't the INTERNET the tree of good and evil. Boyyyyyy I was reprimanded soooooooo many times for even sharing my email address with members. Now what happen, Mother or better yet Father Daniel Lee (oh thats right he's the pastor) is now allowing members to social network. What happened to all the videos we had to see about not going on the Internet???? Yikes….

sunshineParticipantMoreover, Missionary Alicia lecturing controling parents. What a NERVE!!!! Can you think of anyone else that is more controlling than the WMSCOG???????????? You say you are a daughter and you are a mother… Very good! As a Mother you were lucking enough to have both of your kids practically grow in the church, because you have been there I think since the Jerusalem temple was built in Korea… You didn't have to deal with the craziness of being persecuted with your kids. So who did you need from, you had your family there. But what about those of us that didnt. You, yes you Alicia O. you know better than anyone else that the church maybe not now like before, but the church will completed pursuade you to distance yourself from your family and freinds if they would not support you or join the church. How many people can lie about the same thing. We have members from all over the world that have the same testimonies and dont even know eachother. I give you an advise, the same way you guys are now encouraging your members to do things differently, You guys should encourage your members to have better relationships with their family. The SPIRITUAL Family is for Heaven but guess what? Welcome to Earth, you also need your Earthly Family!!!! Dont jugdge Rebecca's parents for going to Today News. She did what any parent who is in desperation to seeing, holding, hugging, living with their kids would do.

UntouchableJParticipant@Sunshine- So true. Children in WMS sacrifice so much. There were two where we were at that were teens, but grew up there…from around 6 or 8. One was the son of a Deacon and the other of a group leader. They were moral kids, but just like the Adults who wanted normalcy, they snuck around to do normal things. I work with at risk youth, so I talk to teens alot. The older young man, who ended up starting college around the time we left, had to sneak the fact that he had a girlfriend. He would also ask me about clothing, how to tie a tie etc. The other young man and I would talk about comics, popular TV shows etc. And I used to hate to have to sneak in conversations with members, see a “Holy roller”, then fake like we were talking about the bible. Lol. Your Family on Earth is super important. Studies show that loving and caring interactions are more valuable than food on a Psychological level. When you deprive a developing mind of social interactions, it has ramifications. So, when ZHANG dies, what about the youth? They will have it the hardest

MountainMomParticipantThis is what I worry about with my little grandson. Since his dad is a deacon, he will have to grow up in the cult environment and will miss out on so many things. His dad was a three sport varsity athlete. My grandson won't be able to do that since most competitions are on Saturdays. So many other things that are fun for kids, he won't be able to do as well. I am concerned about this, but I cannot do anything about it.

AnonymousInactiveI spoke at length on more than one occasion with a former deaconness that had real problems with her child after she and her husband left wmscog. Very tough.

UntouchableJParticipant@Mountain Yes, its difficult for kids. My daughter wanted to play guitar. We thought that it would be good because we could take her during the week. Most good parents in WMS will run into this situation, where their child wants to do something. With our schedules involving the church, it never worked out. And the WMS is NUTS for thinking they dont break up families or cause resentment. They mentally bully you for not spending enough time. Then when your broken down, tired and broke…they tell you to go; “Take some time away bredder/sister you work so hard”.

JohnFoutragedParticipantSpeaking of missionary Alicia…she was in one of the recent videos (I believe) talking about how great the Passover is. In the video she gave testimony that one night while driving back she fell asleep at the wheel and ran of the road down into a ditch… Interestingly I wonder why she fell asleep at the wheel.. Oh i know I know!! It’s because of the amount of time spent in the church. I can’t tell you how many close collisions members have had while driving not he highway or almost going into guard rails… Even I myself remember experiencing micro sleeping while trying to drive home… Getting back at 1,2, or even 3AM because other members are too cheap to get their own car. The nerve of most of those members – they don’t even chip in, yet I’m paying the gas, the maintenance, the insurance, the payments…and all they do is sleep because they’re too lazy to get a car or even pass a drivers test… Yeah I knew it was time to leave when I almost ran into th side of a tractor trailer…it wasn’t the WMSCOG Passover that saved you Missionary Alicia; it was the WMSCOG in the first place that caused you to be sleep deprived while resulted in your accident.

Mayor and MikeParticipantThe members recently celebrated the cog version of the passover. But I want to point out that March 22 2016 was not the 14th day of Nisan. It wasn't even the month of Nisan according to the bible.
@John, it must have been luck that saved Alicia.

UntouchableJParticipantI remember at the Blood drive in NYC, members drive from Tennessee and the Midwest. Ironically, I was tickled that we didn’t break the Guiness World Record for most blood donated. There is a basic scripture/command Christ gave. We all know “When you do your good deeds, do them in secret”. Hey WMS here is why you are slow;
1. Christ said to do good deeds in secret, but you will call a New station to cover members cleaning a park. Thats arrogance, not prophecy.
2. “Jerusalem being the praise of all nations” would be literal. If Zhang were God, do you think she would honestly need to trick people into praising her? And it says praise her, not We Luv U, or the members. WMS must be doing a religious version of the show, Undercover Boss.
Citizen- “Thank you WMS for helping me save my cat.”
WMS member- “Surprise, we didnt save your cat, GOD did disguised as a geeky 23year old church member who works part time at a restaurant because God wants all of my time.
March 25, 2016 at 11:27 PM #70896
Mayor and MikeParticipantAnd let me add:
Jer 23:14 " and among the prophets (pastors) of Jerusalem, I have seen something horrible: they commit adultery and live a lie…
23:15 "because from the prophets (pastors) of Jerusalem ungodliness has spread throughout the land."
So what would they say about those verses? Literal or prophetical?
March 25, 2016 at 11:31 PM #70897
Mayor and MikeParticipantAlso, they have the cameras setup around the church for the show.
You know what? The member should also say: we tricked you, we tried to trick you all! Mwa ha ha!!!
March 25, 2016 at 11:33 PM #70898
Mayor and MikeParticipantAnd you know what else? Forget mama z. I say thanks be to mountain mom for joining this site and giving us her mountain wisdom. 😀
March 25, 2016 at 11:36 PM #70899
MountainMomParticipantLol! I don't know about the wisdom part, but I gave my opinion plenty though, and my experiences.
March 25, 2016 at 11:43 PM #70900
Mayor and MikeParticipantThanks to be you. (cog lingo) Lol.
March 26, 2016 at 12:53 AM #70901
UntouchableJParticipantLol. “All thanks, to Mountain Mom. Because..(fake tears start) when I was hungry, she cooked me Kemchi. And the Kemchi was Sooo AMAZING!” Also WMS lingo
March 26, 2016 at 1:46 AM #70902
MountainMomParticipantHonestly, it's good to be able to laugh sometimes about this! Thanks. By the way, my daughter likes Kemchi, but the smell alone makes me completely gag! Must be one of those things that tastes better than it looks or smells. Lol!
