I kind of understand not celebrating some of the holidays(alot of them are man made traditions) but the thing I dont understand is how extreme members take it. My husband wont even eat candy if its out of a bag with Christmas decor on it. He wont even say Christmas. He says God Bless You if someone says Merry Christmas to him…so annoying I could scream. Also NOT eating food that has been prayed over in Jesus name is so horrible to me!! Also he took down all the crosses in the house. I still have yet to see a verse in the Bible that says crosses are against God….I cant wrap my brain around it. Where in the Bible are the prayer times? I think they are 2:30 and 7 oclock…my husband has an alarm on his phone?! Just curious about some of these topics.

@ Harry: I guess I just love laughter. Lol! On the ” I carry rosary beads in my pocket all the time and if confronted by a demon or satan i’m surely not going to point the cross at him in the hope that he’s going to run away from it.” My mother who is mostly Catholic, though I’m not, probably will point that rosary. She doesn’t play with her rosary. Lol.

No prayer over food is mandatory just in Ahnsahnghong's ("Jesus's new")name.

 

They also have a prayer song for the kids…. (at least around here)

Also Moon never is called God he's a mortal sent to play the role of christ, and also moonies teach there is more than one legitimate second coming christ… which I don't understand

Thanks for all the comments! WMS does ruin every family get together/holiday etc. Also let me reiterate about the praying thing. For example Thanksgiving was ruined bc a famly prayed over the food and said in jesus name amen…..well my husband and another family member (part of the WMS) refused to eat. from what I read about AHn he prayed in Jesus name so I was confused and dont get it and it made me immeditely sick to my stomach. As far as the cross they dont have many Bible verses to back up why they dont hang them up in their church dont wear them etc. They have a ga-zillion Bible verses for everything else (I mean they are rose picked and jump around) but not for why the cross is an idol or whatevs!

Don’t underestimate these people. They have done an in depth research on the Bible, only they can’t out smart God. Trust and believe that everything they say, they believe they can back it up with scripture. This is where God proves them wrong, though carefully crafted by them.

I agree that there are prayer times in the Bible …not sure about the changing times in winter summer etc. but I think praying at any time is sufficient. I just think its another way to be controlled by this church.

Sarah I havent underestimated them at all. this is by the far the hardest thing Ive ever dealt with. I feel like everytime I talk to a WMS person I get tongue tied and am up against the best con artist there is.. the Devil.  they are really good at what they do. Ive seen them mold my brother in law into the perfect robot. I have given up on getting him out. All I care about is getting my husband out.

Awww. I hear you. I so wanted it to be that they were telling the truth when I was a member, but God said, nope. Don’t give up, keep at it knowing that there is one who truly is God and He is not anything to play with stupidly.

Im so glad that a light bulb went off for you saying something isnt right!! My husband has been told to ignore his feelings which I thought was insane. A person should never ignore their gut instinct!!! For a church to tell you to ignore what you are feeling is insane.

True. That’s because there are hidden agendas. My heart really is with the innocent members because they don’t really know what they are involved in. They really believe it is real, like I did for the first 6 months.

I truly believe that there are some real innocent people that geniunely think they are doing right but then there are those that know they are causing divorce/ tumoil within familys and many other negative things. For example I believe some members take joy in the fact that my husband believes in this (thanks to my brother in law for introducing this to him) and I dont!!! I believe 1 specific missionary is the Devil in disquise and an all around bad person. I got an uneasy feeling from the get go and of course his wife was like oh your so pretty and so nice blah blah blah….Im not stupid I know why she is saying this to think I fall easy for compliements. I coudnt wait for them to leave my house about a study that left my head spinning and then I wanted to rebuke the evil spirits in my house.

Dunno dear. I don’t do Facebook. I used to, but it was becoming a fashion show and show off, being that I know my Weakness I had to bail. Lol. All my friends love it.
