Momsix828ParticipantI sent this to my two children in this cult. One in Navy in San Diego, one in college at Louisville: they both said they would never open the website and read it. Unbelievable!…I hope they are quirious and read it. Pastor Victor at the NJ church was influential in my kids downfall. He baptized my daughter. When we went up to see her in Louisville church to reason with her Pastor Victor had been sent down to intervien. He was waiting for us, in fact the whole church was waiting on us, when we were late they held up to start after we got there…she chose their side as did my son. He hasn’t been home since. Five years…

Momsix828ParticipantPut me down for the documentary!!!
December 13, 2015 at 5:42 AM #69134
AnonymousInactiveWe've been waiting nearly 5 years for this to finally hit mainstream media. This group is nothing but a double down on Moon's Unification Church. Same country, different scumbags. Our child has lost nearly five years into this mess. I'm in on a documentary anytime, anywhere. PM me if you have more info. Thanks!
I pray to Heavenly Momma that Long Dong Lee, Choo Choo Kim, and the cult they run choke on this. Make it happen, Momma.

Mayor and MikeParticipantWhat, what what!? Who? A documentary about which church? Dang, I’d like to see that.
In fact I can see it now… “they have taken women and children, they call it mind control, and they have arrived to control the people. They tell you to have abortions and demand you to give them lots of money. Then they give you there women. What can be done about this group. Will the government sit back and do nothing?
December 13, 2015 at 8:28 AM #69136
sunshineParticipantWhat’s even funnier guys is that things they are allowing now, they didn’t allow before.such as having babies l, celebrating weddings, Internet social media.m etc. however, they want to convince their current members that all that is being said about their church is just slander. Now what they r doing is that they are encouraging members to get married have children. So they don’t get caught up on the tumors. They are also encouraging their members to spend time with their Earthly family, I even see now that they are all on social media. Really really really, Pastor Lee. When u know and everyone knows that it was all forbidden. This post is for you and your soldiers cuz I know you guys be reading everything in here. I love the way you guys like to play mind games with people. You guys are great negotiators.

Kai TIngParticipantInteresting find, so seems like mainstream media is starting to catch on..next we know it will be a full documentary focusing specifically on the wms, same as what scientology and mormons had
December 13, 2015 at 5:31 PM #69138
Jesus_will_set_u_freeParticipantActually mainstream media it's been on and off for a while already, it's just that this group hasn't grown big enough to be consider something of importance.. at least to those who haven't been involved, but lately I've noticing more and more media sources have been following this group closer. A major spanish network Telemundo covered a little about this group… Even thought this was back in 2013 it was a really good coverage for people to become aware..

You should tell your children that by NOT reading it, they validated the truthfulness of the article.

UntouchableJParticipantIts rather funny, that they build and break their momentum, based on what the “Babylonians” think and do. I would love love love to be in a documentary. Ive realized that you can’t battle biblically with them, from a biblical point of view (Brian Taylor posted a video of an Atheist who recorded WMS members trying to preach to him, and he blew them out of the water). So, former members testimony speaking about the time monopolization, exhaustion, mis-treatment and broken homes….will do the trick. When I was in WMS they showed, “THEIR” version, of the Hassan/ Ron Ramos video. The original video is over 20min. long. The Wms rebuttle is only 12, and most of that 12 is reverse bad-mouthing about Ron and Hassan. WMS, the started what I call, “Over honesty” as a campaign. They brought all the controversial points, to the members. The showed a video addressing the “Problems witj the Veil and New Jerusalem” book. The told us about the lawsuits….but all from their standpoint and not in entirety.

Mayor and MikeParticipantHello Sunshine. Are they changing their ways? They are opening up to weddings, social media, and personal family dinners? You gotta be kidding me? Have they had realizations that what they do is wrong? Have they stopped telling people to have abortions? Don’t they know what they do is wrong from the beginning? You gotta be very narrow minded to tell people to have abortions.
Untouchable, would you love love love to be in a documentary? I would really really really love watch it.
Who do you have to call to get the ball rolling? Abc? Good good good morning amercia? Judge Judy? W5? The fifth estate?
You got to be telling them, yo this is whats going on… you got to be getting on this shizzle.

So sorry to hear about your children, Momsix. I have lost a son to this group. More than six years now. It is outrageous that the pastor and the church members showed up to intervene in a family matter between parents and daughter/son. But it is typical. I have heard about this happening before with this group, even showing up to intervene in a matter between husband and non member wife, and vice/versa.
Yet here is the quote from a deacon of this church when told that this group destroys families: "Oh, no, in our church family isn't just an important thing, it is THE MOST IMPORTANT THING." Yeah, right, we can all see that.
December 14, 2015 at 5:37 PM #69143
jw03550ParticipantThis sounds like something that gets the membership to rally around? Us vs Them coming true
December 14, 2015 at 6:16 PM #69144
MountainMomParticipantVery happy to see this kind of article, especially in a highly read magazine. As well all know, there is very little we can do once they have joined the group. But if people become informed, they can avoid the group and it will "die on the vine," eventually. Anything that makes deceptive recruitment harder is going to help people. I think prevention is the answer, not trying to talk someone out. That doesn't work.
Now that a highly known magazine has printed something, others may jump on the bandwagon. That is what usually happens. This day has been a long time coming.
December 14, 2015 at 7:28 PM #69145
setufreeParticipantI’m glad media is paying more attention.
The church has just released a video
If we all actively contacted all the people in this video and informed them that their image is being used as propaganda for this group, along with a link to the people article it may help. I can guarantee that most of these officers or city leaders would NOT be happy about it and are unaware of it!
December 14, 2015 at 8:02 PM #69146
Brian TaylorParticipantThey are drowning, and gasping for air……its as simple as that.
December 14, 2015 at 11:18 PM #69147
UntouchableJParticipantEven that video, sounds like a bunch of Robots. They now use “Accusation Addressing” to try and look transparent. Its like when an athlete gets accused of using Steroids, or Performance Enhancing Drugs. Ever notice how if the athlete simply comes out, admits it, then apologizes, that the public just forget? The Athlete then looks kinda like a hero. I think if more EX members share their story, then people will be alert to their lies.
December 15, 2015 at 10:45 PM #69148
ShugyoParticipantAmazing to see something like this. I just recently started talking about my involvement with this church again. Sad to say it's been the "elephant in room" for the better part of 7 years…even after my falling away.
December 16, 2015 at 4:22 PM #69149
MountainMomParticipant
@Shugyo: Funny, that is always how I have referred to my son's involvement as well, the elephant in the room that no one seems to be able to talk about. Have you been out 7 years, or does that time include your involvement? My son has been in at least 7 years now, probably 8. (I wasn't aware for a while)I think the difficulty in talking about involvement even after leaving the church underscores just how damaging membership in this group is. It affects people long after they are out. I know of a guy who was only in five months before he was taken out of it by an intervention. This was over four years ago, and he and his family are still dealing with the after effects. I think it is much better now, but none of them want to talk about it. Sad to say, I think they really need to in order to get past it.
For members who were long term, I wonder how they cope when they come out? It varies, person to person, but I think most struggle mightily.
December 16, 2015 at 9:38 PM #69150
SelenaParticipantYou are right mountain mom long term members that come out struggle alot. I suffered from PTSD after I left and had to go to counseling. I was in constant fear, always anxious and thought that I would lose my mind. It is a struggle to gain back control of your mind. To realize not everyone is trying to manipulate or control you. I would go into fits of rage where i would begin to throw things because i no longer knew how to deal or understand my emotions after suppressing them for so long. I still deal with those things after 10 months of being out. It is a daily struggle to gain back control.
