For all of you wondering about arranged marriages in the WMSCOG, they obviously happen. The WMSCOG is NOT the only church doing this.. look all around you. You’ll see more and more with time. Many times is because of the persons sexual orientation..Priest in the Catholic Church, pastor in protestant churches, etc.. that is because the law of Christ condemns homosexuals.. hypothetically speaking Apostle Paul was a full blown Homosexual himself.. 1 Corinthians 7 The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? I didnt read it all bc it was too long. So this is a cog member saying its ok that they arrange marriages bc other churches do it and bc they are trying to cover up homosexuality. Did I get the jist or am I off?
The church has created a postion in the organization. They call the position “god”. (lower case g). What else can I say about it?

The only arranged marriage I know about is my brother in law. He was married for 7 yrs he didnt work he JUST preached…his wife worked the entire marriage and she managed to make it to church for every service which is pretty much 24/7. Hence unhappy strained marriage. They had a young Korean girl stay w them. The girl was someones niece of someone important in the church. Fast forward he is now divorced (ex wife shunned from church) and he is married to Korean girl that once stayed w him and his wife. Ex wife doesnt know who he married bc he didnt want to tell her. Sketchy much!

I know of so many arranged marriages. It is so common there. Often they are not very happy marriages, although I couldn't say that about all of them because I don't know everyone's circumstances. I do know that if a member is married to a non member, that relationship is usually doomed. Even if a person who is a member is in love with a non member, say their fiance, that marriage doesn't happen if the leaders have anything to say. And they ALWAYS have something to say.
I know that very often even the decision of a young person to leave their parent's home and live somewhere else is driven by "permission" from their deacon or pastor. Sad. So sad that these people hand over every major decision in their lives to someone who does not have their best interests in mind.

I was going to add a question to my last post about arranged marriages. Why do many hide their marriages to Koreans in the Wms from family and friends? Why are their outright lies when asked by a parent, "Are you married?" Can someone explain that?
I have my own opinion about that, and it's this: I think they don't tell right away because they need to hide it from immigration services. I know that mariages to non Americans are very heavily scrutinized now. There is a long drawn out process to make sure the marriage is real and not just to get American citizenship. I think some lie and hide their marriage because they need time to build a case that there really was a relationship that proceded the marriage. There often is not, but they need to build that appearance. I really think immigration would be interested in this aspect of the arranged marriages that occur in this "church."
If anyone let’s someone else tell them who to marry-I’m sorry, they lost their back bone (wms took it from them). That’s not normal-especially an American falling for that… Like… In other countries the parents would arrange marriage (i think that’s totally crazy too!), But some Korean etc man pastor telling you who to “be” with the rest of your life… They need to stand up and say “look-this is my body-God said i can only be with one person, and, no, you are not going to decide that person for me you ego power hungry lunatic.” Seriously, an American who rolls over and let’s them tell them who to spend the rest of their life with (whether they say we’ve got 5 years max or not). That’s probably why they concede-they figure “i can get through it a few years.” Ok some foreign guy telling you who to marry-that’s not a love story. Go American on them like they like to say “the Americans always like to argue, it’s their culture.” Arranged marriages is the most evil thing wms does-it’s not their body! Also they really can’t date in wms (not anything without the Pastor knowing about it and shepherding it etc, and you’re not allowed to hang out with your own gender in wms, (nothing outside of Zion, preaching) none the less the opposite gender. All that is crazy suppressing every natural thing… Everything normal and every good part of life wms just deletes from your daily itinerary-and everything weird and overly for bearing they add to your life… Why does Gil and why do the Pastors want to arrange marriages? Who goes around telling other people who to marry? That’s a psychopath if there ever was one, simply a control freak who has to control other people. “Oh it’s for the gospel-a good match for the gospel.” The Pastors are not even God doing that, and they say “Mother approved it.” … They don’t know who’s a good match when it comes down to it… What if it’s not a good match-i think the indication that the guy didn’t think of it on his own to marry her is an INDICATION it’s NOT a good MATCH… It’s not funny-that’s someone’s body and they manipulated them into giving it away-that shouldn’t be legal… They probably did it to get the visa… They coerced them into giving their body away over a visa! WMS PASTORS, YOU ARE NOT THEIR PIMP-YOU DO NOT DECIDE WHO DOES WHAT WITH WHO! but they think “well Gil approved it, so it’s good.” Gil accidentally married Lucifer-she’s the last person on earth who should be giving marriage advice…lol but it’s not funny-that’s some psychotic form of sexual abuse!
What are you saying now anon? There was a nice korean female I met. She was happy, fun, polite, humble, energetic. I took notice of her. She had a great personality. I thought we could be good together. Lol. But the church didn’t see it. And since they are into prearranged marriages, they stood in the way of what could have been. Do you think I was experiencing love at first sight anon? Lol.
Lol-that’s of your own free will and desires-that’s what love is. That’s almost as bad as arranged marriages-standing in the way of genuine love (or attraction). Jesus, these pastors need to get a life. They have nothing better to do than interfere with love lol. They need a hobby :p lol… My hobby is going off on them lol… I’ve seen a wms leader flat out tell her husband “i hate you,” (also a wms leader)-and i wasn’t the only one who saw it (lots of members saw). I wanted to be like…”first… John…” (Anyone who hates their brother is a murderer). She was dead serious too.

I was meaning “the Pastors arranging marriage is so wrong.” (Because the members are influenced with “well it must be what God wants.” And they’ll suppress what they really want…) God can do that from the spiritual world (bring people together). If Gil would have spent time on real stuff instead of signing off on thousands of marriages…

Wms members would say “marriage is hard,” when they commented on it. (I know lots of people not in wms say that too, I’ve heard them). But… I’m was like “she’s God and she can’t help them out, advise them” lol. i mean teach them something… Not just “be considerate, be kind.” She’s supposed to have the “perfect marriage with Jesus Christ.” Lol. …she has no tips for these people struggling with marriage? Lol… It’s a funny concept of “a Jesus’ wife that can’t give love advice.” Lol…she could at least pretend to sound wise lol or know something about marriage. Lol…

She doesn’t even pretend to sound like God. Not just with love-on video she would be like “apparently the members at this Zion where there was a disaster had enough faith to escape it.” She was like “i didn’t know they had that much (enough) faith.” I watched the video and was like “you’re God and you don’t know that they had enough faith.” She was clearly saying she was surprised no one got hurt in the earth quake. I remember the camera caught her on a video before she noticed the camera. She was not just not smiling-she looked so miserable. (But if members don’t smile they’re told “you have to smile. Mother said. Obey or you’ll go to hell”).
