Hi, just wanted to let everybody know that it's Tuesday in South Korea, meaning the end didn't come this passover… at least not yet! let's see what happens the rest of the day!

Love'n HoneyParticipantBut the cleansing is done when you "cover" yourself with Christ's blood which is done on the PO. But His blood "cleanses" you once and for all when you're cleansed the 1st time. From what A. Paul said in reference to the OT cleansing and from how we are cleansed in the NT times, you only need to eat and drink the bread and wine 1 time.

SimonParticipantbut god commanded the commemoration perpetually.

SimonParticipantI Corinthians 11:23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

Anywho, through the PO bread and wine we are cleansed through the blood of Jesus.
Can you tell me exactly where the bible says that? Just asking, not challenging.
I believe Simon is right. The bread and wine commemoration is to be in perpetuity. In fact I go a step beyond. I don't see where we are told it must be just once a year.

SimonParticipantI can think of an argument for at least twice a day
April 17, 2013 at 3:51 PM #57152
Love'n HoneyParticipantMatt 26:28 the blood blah blah forgiveness of sins
Eph 1:7 forgiveness of sins through Jesus's blood
Heb 9:21-23 explains that blood cleanses
Jesus is the reality as many already know. I'm not crazy!
April 17, 2013 at 3:55 PM #57153
Love'n HoneyParticipantY'all are COMPLETELY missing my point……………………………………………………………..
According to what A. Paul said, it is not NECESSARY to keep CLEANSING YOURSELF or to keep RECEIVING THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS when Jesus's blood CLEANSES/FORGIVES once and for all. Keep doing it if you want to.. But you're already clean. It's like washing your hands.. then washing them yet again before they've gotten dirty. You can do it if you want to but it's not necessary. Like I said, I'm not crazy.
April 18, 2013 at 1:02 AM #57154
SimonParticipantExcept paul taught to continue doing it
April 18, 2013 at 1:32 AM #57155
Love'n HoneyParticipantHe did not teach to continue doing it. He just said when you keep PO you proclaim the Lord's death [paraphrased of course]. That's like me telling you, when you say stupid stuff you proclaim your lack of home training. I'm not telling you to say stupid stuff, I'm just explaining the "result" of your actions. Result isn't the word I'm looking for but I couldn't think of anything else. Whenever you drive drunk you're asking for a death sentence. Whenever you call me you're telling me you have some value of our friendship.

Love'n HoneyParticipantAnd Simon, most days I wish I standing right in front of you so I could punch you dead in the mouth. =)
April 18, 2013 at 1:37 AM #57157
Love'n HoneyParticipantYou sound JUST like those members who say "Father had to die to fulfill the prophecy of K. David." Then I say, "But the Scripture says Christ won't die again." Then they "But he has to die to fulfill the Scripture." It's as if I haven't said anything. Even if God said not to do something but then tells you to do that very thing later, you shouldn't ignore the fact that he just said NOT to do that very thing he told you to do. From how the blood of Jesus is described alone, it appears that you only need to be cleansed once, am I wrong? I didn't say the bible teaches us not to keep doing it.. all I said was that it seems like you only NEED to do it one time.
Simon says: But A. Paul blah blah blah
Go [insert highly offensive phrase here] Shimon..
April 18, 2013 at 1:49 AM #57158
SimonParticipantTherefore let us keep the festival

MountainMomParticipantRenita LOL!!!! You are cracking me up! Still loving those videos.
April 18, 2013 at 2:38 AM #57160
SimonParticipantone may also bring up the fact that (unless your using wmscog doctrine) keeping Passover every year isn't sacrificing again and again but a call back to the same sacrifice.
April 18, 2013 at 4:17 AM #57161
gennyParticipantRegarding this topic of whether or not one cleansing is enough. I agree with you, Renita.
But does the wmscog agree with Ahn about this? Here's a quote from the "Mystery of God and the Spring…" green book:
Chapter 32, Page 435 (English/Korean edition)
“According to the law of faith, our salvation is guaranteed once we are justified by faith in Christ…. According to the law of faith, once a believer has the forgiveness of sins through the blood of Jesus, his salvation is guaranteed.”
Quote:“When we carefully study the words above, we can clearly see that salvation depends on faith, not the deeds of the law. This faith is not what the general Christian churches believe, but the conviction that we have redemption through the blood of the new covenant which Jesus made with us.”April 18, 2013 at 4:18 AM #57162

Correct Renita. It is the blood of Jesus that cleanses. The actual act of shedding the blood by Jesus.
I want to know where the partaking of the bread and wine does the cleansing. I believe that is what the wmscog teaches and I see no biblical support for it.
Don't get me wrong. I strongly support the partaking of bread and wine not just once a year but regularly. However, I don't believe that scripture says it is required for our forgiveness.
April 18, 2013 at 3:15 PM #57163
SimonParticipantThe one thing is if you look in the New Testament God continues to work with the Moedim and Paul insists on keeping the festivals, clearly he stopped with the animal sacrifices so how do we believe he did it?
