Hi, just wanted to let everybody know that it's Tuesday in South Korea, meaning the end didn't come this passover… at least not yet! let's see what happens the rest of the day!

PO was never meant to be the end. May have been announced as the last passover in the US, but they never said the end is exactly on PO.

My branch doesn't have any plans for at least the next couple of years… so don't try and blow it out of proportion ๐Ÿ™‚

Work only with substantial evidence, not with rumors.

This right here is counter-productive and all it does is just strips us off all credibility.

Yet it was definitely said that last year was supposed to be the last Passover.  I think we did establish that beyond the scope of rumors. It was the understanding in COG churches from one end of the country to the other.   I  don't believe a reiteration of that prediction would strip anyone of credibility.  How do you feel it would Smurf?  Am I missing something here?

    Prove it.

Imagine I'm currently a member and in my church nobody said anything about 2012, all of a sudden people start bashing on my church because it has allegedly predicted 2012. I perceive that as slandering. My faith in mother gets stronger.

Well, first of all, we were talking about Passover, not 2012. And, I'm not bashing, just stating what was said all over the country in their churches, and what I personally heard them say as well. It is far beyond the scope of rumor mongering.   On this forum, as you know, most of us already know what was said and done, and I am not here to prove anything to the people on the forum.  That would be redundant and really time consuming.  I am here to offer my story, to offer support and hopefully, get some of that myself.  (Which I am, and I thank all of you who offer that.)  I'm not here to get lectured on credibility or the definition of slandering.  I bet Scuba doesn't need it either.

By the way, I like most of your posts, and I give you credit.  I just think you are wasting your time telling me how to react and what to say.  Just worry about your own posts.

Oh, but you see, how you react may be more crucial than you think… there is no "I" in here. It doesn't make any difference to them.

In their eyes we are all villlains… it takes massive effort to make a single dent in their organization and very little to screw it all up.

So I suggest you put yourself  in the position of an active member for a moment and don't let your emotions take the best of you. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Smurf, what’s all this?

Bottom line is: If I was a member and came to this forum, I'd think twice about leaving.

I wouldn’t say that. Everyone is coming from different perspective. You have to remember we are dealing with an organization that has many uncompelling evidence that discredits them.

They are very inconsistent in what they say and do, so one person may hear one thing, another something different.

I'm an obedient lobotomized member… evidence is nothing to me. It's all in the mind.

Which is a bit ironical, I know ๐Ÿ˜€

I understand that, but that’s still my point. How say me, you, or the next person that ones encounter is controversial when dealing with such an organization.

Granted, we must always defend or oppose with truth.

What I am saying, Smurf, is you are preaching to the choir.  Since we are writing, you can't see that I am not actually emotional in my post, just telling like I see it.  And it really would be better use of your time to worry about yourself.  I wasn't saying that as an insult or anything.  This site is about examining, and we are all doing that.

I don't swear, slander, persecute, etc.  I do disagree, however.  So do you.   I think you are trying to help, and so, thank you.  However, don't tell me what to post.  I'm a lot more careful than you give me credit for.  And if I don't offer some contradictions I see as evidence, then what are we here for?

Ok.  Just sayin' along those lines, I would think someone making fun of Ahnsahnhong's name would probably turn them off.  I'm done now.  Peace and love.

The "truth" about the PO plus the "truth" about the Sabbath are the 2 subjects that kept me as a member for 2 years. I was reading Heb 10 and idea came across my mind. It is not necessary to keep the New Cov't PO more than once. Heb 10:2 is talking about the reason the Jews kept cleansing themselves with the blood of animals. If the blood of animals would have cleansed them once and for all then wouldn't they have stopped sacrificing? Surely.. Is there a verse saying that Jesus fulfills all the animals sacrificed in the OT? Anywho, through the PO bread and wine we are cleansed through the blood of Jesus. Because Jesus's blood cleanses us once and for all according to A. Paul, we only need to be cleansed once; keep the PO once. But year after year the WMSCOG cleanses the members through Jesus's blood using the PO bread and wine.

What do y'all think about my idea? I am now pretty convinced that after you kept PO once it is not necessary to keep it again. Has anyone else thought about this?

it needs to be kept perpetually because the sacrifice is once but the commemoration is eternal

But the cleansing is done when you "cover" yourself with Christ's blood which is done on the PO. But His blood "cleanses" you once and for all when you're cleansed the 1st time. From what A. Paul said in reference to the OT cleansing and from how we are cleansed in the NT times, you only need to eat and drink the bread and wine 1 time.
