There are teachings in the WMS that focus heavily on the council of Nicea and some of the things that might of might not have happened. I've just read about the Book of Thomas which is one of the books that the council decided not to cannonize into the New Testament. One part of this book suggest that Jesus strived to make women into males and that all women should strive to be like males. God doesn't make mistakes and I certainly don't see women as being something that God wants to change. No other part of the Bible supports this kind of idea. I appreciate the council of Nicea for seeing things like this as not being of God and choosing not to include this. Any thought on this?
