Did any of you ever hear stories of AhnSahngHong or Zahng Gil-Jah performing miracles? Whenever I asked about miracles I was told by the deacon that 'father and mother' did perform miracles but in secret and the church couldn't talk about them.

HydeParticipantAlso, why did Jesus do miracles? If the 'passover' is all that matters, then why didn't he simply tell everyone to “keep the passover” and let 'that' be 'that’? Why did he teach so many other lessons about life? if all we needed was the passover bread and wine that causes eternal life to serve God then wouldn’t he have said so?
I understand WMS will criticise my viewpoint by quoting Jesus’ words about salvation through his flesh and blood. My response to them is this: have you ever considered that Jesus’ flesh and blood is all of his words and not just the feasts of the law. WMS say the ‘passover’ is God’s most important miracle but Jesus never said the passover is all that matters compared to anything else. Why? because to eat Jesus’ flesh and blood (the Word) is not to obey the laws of the Jews, but rather to digest everything that he says – not in ritual but in life itself!
I believe therefore that all of the words of Jesus are the reality of his flesh and blood. However, the only Word WMS ever talk about is “eternal life through the passover”. WMS have made their own judgements on which of Jesus’ words are important to suit their own agendas. Picking and choosing and not eating the whole of Jesus’ teachings about living life. Pun intended.

MountainMomParticipantWell said, Hyde. It seems like the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross is not enough to these Wms leaders. It minimizes His sacrifice and it minimizes salvation through the grace of God.
I think of the person who wrote that when Wms people approached him, he engaged them in conversation about Salvation. He asked, what can I do right here and now to be saved? Well, of course, they told him he had to go to their church, be baptized, take lessons, etc. He reminded them that Jesus saved the thief on the cross next to him that very day. By the man's faith he was saved right there without lessons and everything else they said a person must go through to "earn" salvation. They got angry and left saying he was blind, and all the other insults they give someone who doesn't see things like they want them to.

Mayor and MikeParticipant@ Hyde. I think it's good and healthy to question everything the wmscog says, does, and teaches. When Jesus entered the temple courts in Jerusalem, he was tested, and questioned by the religious leaders. Notice how Jesus was found to be blameless, without fault, spot or blemish.
Although the wmscog claims many things, one fault I found was their passover itself. I mentioned this before but I'll say it again. I believe they observed the wrong day. Today I believe the wmscog is observing the second passover. Yet tomorrow, is the 14th day of Nisan. According to the words of the bible, we are to keep the first passover then.

MountainMomParticipantYes, M&M, that is interesting that they observed the wrong day. I also wondered about this second passover thing. What is that about?
April 22, 2016 at 1:04 AM #71683
Mayor and MikeParticipantThe second passover is written in the old testament law. If you are unclean or if you are on a long journey you may keep the passover in the second month on the 14th day.

UntouchableJParticipantIm puzzled as to how WMS messed up the Passover… I tried to look at every angle; Time zine difference, Lunar, Solar…it is still way off.

Mayor and MikeParticipantWell, I'm not exactly certain on this but I am thinking that the cog follows the Catholic church in a way. So when they celebrate easter, the cog will celebrate the passover near the same time. And I'm guessing the cog does this to try and create division.
Next year I'm sure it will be more inline with Israel.
