Why was Lot’s wife turned into a pillar of salt? I know this is a different question from the norm. However, we need a break from shenanigans.

SmurfParticipantIt had something to do with the sulfur. Some sort of a chemical reaction. But the thing that bothers me is why did the people in Sodom try to rape the angels that came for Lot? If the end times are supposed to be like the days of Noah and Lot… there's a Lot more to happen before Christ comes (:P ahahha get it? A Lot. … 🙁 nevermind).
I haven't seen anyone molesting angels yet.

SimonParticipantNot sure the sins need to be the same that exactly or just equally evil

Sarah2013ParticipantSmurf, that’s funny, but i doubt that. Disobedience appear to be the reason.

SimonParticipantThe question why was she punished? Or why salt?
March 17, 2013 at 8:07 AM #56348
SmurfParticipantLike I said. She wasn't punished per se. It's more of a cause and effect situation. When you were a kid your parents surely warned you not to touch the hot stove, but you did it anyway and you got burned – that doesn't mean your parents punished you. That means there are consequenses for some actions. Same thing with the apple and Eve. God's not some evil tyrant who just waits for a chance to punish people. He didn't warn Lot not to look back just cause he was bored, he warned him because there was a REASON not to look back. God doesn't play around.
