John 16:23-24 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
There are two reasons why I’m bringing this up:
1) Jesus told his disciples while he was living to pray in His name. I found some curious food for thought concerning WMSCOG claim on praying in Ash’s name. He DIED in Feb 1985. According to what a pastor told us members at a countermeasure meeting, Mr Kim told everyone to pray in Ash’s name June 2, 1985 the date for General Assembly that year. The General Assembly allegedly is held at the beginning of the year according to the “Sacred Calendar”. So even though Ash should have been the savior for this age after he was baptized in 1948 (according to the sermon Savior of Each Age) NO ONE prayed in his name until 4 months after he died?! Seems contradictory to what they teach. If our prayers were to be granted from the time he was declared the savior, people should have been praying his name sooner than 4 months after he died. And why isn’t that recorded anywhere? Again we are relying on the claimed testimony of Mr Kim and maybe Zhang. While Jesus told his disciples to pray in his name prior to the crucifixion, then if Ash knew when he was going to die it should have been announced sooner than 4 months after his death.
2) Clearly most Christians understand and believe in the trinity-3 roles but one God. Jesus said “my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name”. To my knowledge no where written in the bible does it say Father Jesus. That’s not my issue. Why does WMSCOG call Ash as father Ash? Or why not Holy Spirit Ash? If he is the second coming Jesus and does things like 1st Jesus so we will know it is he, shouldn’t he just be called Ash and not father Ash? I mean it just seems weird if 2CC is patterned after 1st Jesus.
