I was taking some time recently to think about just how hard it is to believe what I believe. At work it's like having a big target painted on me. Some people go out of their way to try and trip me up about what I believe. In all honesty some of my beliefs are hard to swallow. I believe God created and continues to create everything. God speaks planets and stars into being! While He is doing that He still knows me all of the way down to the number of hairs I have on my head. Hard to believe I know. I believe you have proof of Gods exhistance all around you. I can't rationally believe everything just happened. If you are able to believe that then you have to be willing to believe that something like a commercial airliner just one day formed itself. I can't do that! I also believe that God became man. Jesus was and is God in the flesh. He came to us, lived a perfect life, made the final sacrifice for us, came back to life, and lives forevermore! Talk about a tall order to believe in. A perfect life? Came back to life? Is still alive? To some people this might look like I worship a Zombie or something. What about the belief that we need to partake of His body and blood? What, are we vampires now? See how hard it is to believe in Christianity? I do believe! I do my best to defend my faith. I also believe there are such things as angles and miracles not to mention demons and Satan. Again, evidence is all around us. Being a Christian is hard enough.
In walks the WMSCOG who wants us to believe that Jesus came back again. This time he did not live a perfect life, had sex with his children (which is supposed to be ok because he's god), died again, and didn't resurrect. (Who are we to question the way God does things?) We are also supposed to believe that there is a second god even though the Bible, Jesus, and God himself taught that there is only one God! We are also supposed to believe that Jehova and Zahng as father and mother created everything and are bound to the laws of nature because as they put it everything has a mother and a father. Only to be told later that the mother will marry the son. (Gross!)
No, it's hard enough to be a follower of Jesus the Christ. I'm not even going to try and have any kind of faith in the WMSCOG garbage! Your thoughts please.
