Does anyone recall the wms's interpretation of Isaiah 1:15. Who does the WMS say this verse refers to?
When you spread out your hands in prayer,
I hide my eyes from you;
even when you offer many prayers,
I am not listening.
Your hands are full of blood!

Sarah2013ParticipantI don’t remember what their teaching is on that.
March 23, 2013 at 5:10 PM #56974
KFParticipantI think this is for the people who don't follow God's Commands, and lead others to hell.
March 23, 2013 at 7:01 PM #56975
Sarah2013ParticipantIf they don’t follow God’s command, you think they will even try to pray, KF?
March 23, 2013 at 9:01 PM #56976
KFParticipantSarah, It's for the teachers, pastors, deacons, leaders, Popes, etc. who distort God's truth, and make others believe that what they follow is the truth of God. ( Isaiah 1:15)
They themselves do not enter heaven & they don't let others enter either by their actions & lies. It is up to each individual to seek the lord while he may still be found.
Everyone here from this side, from the other side, inbetween sides should search for the truth without relying on others opinion. It's our responsibilty, we need to be our own leaders & not followers of man made rules, IMHO.
Matthew 7:7-12 ask, seek, knock

Sarah2013ParticipantWell said, mate! Can’t argue that.

KFParticipantMerci

Sarah2013ParticipantKF. What do you think about the wearing of veil in church? Growing up in Europe we had to keep our heads covered in church. Wmscog practice that. Is it necessary or not? What is your take on that?
Keep in mind this scripture: 1 Corinthians 11. This is a sincere question.
March 23, 2013 at 9:53 PM #56980
KFParticipantHmmm. you know what Sarah, I'm not quite sure on this one………. You got me
Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is the same as having her head shaved. For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head
Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering. If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice—nor do the churches of God.
March 23, 2013 at 9:57 PM #56981
KFParticipantWhat do you think Sarah?
You know I can't say that it's true, but I have heared that Jewish women shave their heads and where wigs. Can a true Jewish verify this? Simon or Hal
Also we can all see that middle east women cover their heads, so I don't know why, some even cover head to toe so that other men will not look at them , if they are uncovered, they will get a beat down, another thing I heared but not sure off. some say they so ugly they need the covering (J.K)
never taught I needed to know these things, but now I'm curious as to why they do it. Gotta go research now Lol!
March 23, 2013 at 10:02 PM #56982
Sarah2013ParticipantWell…. I sincerely don’t think it matters, however, it does give an appearance of Holiness. The key word, appearance, doesn’t mean that person is really holy. I don’t cover my head now, well, I did at Wmscog obviously.
March 23, 2013 at 10:06 PM #56983
KFParticipantI understand! I added another thing can you answer that too!
March 23, 2013 at 10:13 PM #56984
SmurfParticipantI like how it specifically says "long hair"… You can't dispute that. Although to be fair there were some faces in the WMS that you'd rather them wear a covering on their head. Or a bag.
Or two.
March 23, 2013 at 10:14 PM #56985
Sarah2013ParticipantKinda like the sandal removal which happened between God and I believe Moses – Exodus 3:5. I used to feel weird when I changed my faith ( dont really want to say the type of church so that isnt a debate, though im sure one can guess) and wasn’t covering my head anymore. But with time that feeling left. It may be because that’s what I knew growing up.
March 23, 2013 at 10:15 PM #56986
Sarah2013ParticipantLMHO! Classic joke, smurf. You had no business looking at them, anyway.

Tell that to the 90% koreans, who've undergone plastic surgery
March 23, 2013 at 10:27 PM #56991
Sarah2013ParticipantNothing wrong with a little contouring here and there. Oops!

KFParticipantHey Smurf, are we GRUMPY
