Does the WMSCOG have a new “end of world” prediction going on? My friend just went on a rant with me about how the end is coming very very soon. I also noticed 144000 saying something in the “Ron” post about the end coming soon, “again”!

Love'n HoneyParticipantHmm.. I wonder. I wouldn't know because I haven't studied with them in a long time. They have until 2085 though.. 100 years for the generation born when Ash died.

prtyeyesParticipantHe’s blowing up my phone telling me how he just recruited some more people and how he even recruited pastors who have been preaching for more than 30 years. I thought preaching was over? He just seems a little unstable with this conversation, like something is about to happen soon.

Sarah2013ParticipantNothing is happening. We won’t know the day or hour when Jesus(the real one) shows up. However, there is always going to be catastrophic events and so on as we near.

prtyeyesParticipantI know nothing is happening, but are they being told something is happening soon because he just seems a little off.

DisturbedParticipantThey have to give the members a reason to continue preaching/recruiting new unsuspecting victims. So many high donors have left that have to be replaced to keep the steady flow of income. It’s also a distraction method. They don’t want the members to focus on the failed 2012 prophecy. They’ve denied that they preached it so as far as they’re concerned it didn’t exist but in the meantime they have to fool them into thinking there’s a “new” prophecy waiting to be fulfilled.
Anytime the crazy dictator in North Korea makes a threat or statement the church members get in a frenzy…Father’s coming soon. In 2010 “Jerusalem” was surrounded because North Korea and South Korea staffed their borders with military. The church got its panties in a bunch. Oooooo something was going to happen. Nothing happened except we were distracted from important matters going on. That’s just what they do. Please be patient with your friend. My friends said I was “off” too. I’m okay now that I know the real truth behind the facade of the church.

prtyeyesParticipantI am going to continue to be patient. I love him very much and know he’s a good person. It’s just weird. We’ve been having regular conversations lately but today he just did a 360. I feel like he’s in panic mode.

DisturbedParticipantYeah…the members (or maybe I should only speak for myself) would get frenzied as Passover came near. I would try to “recruit” my family to get baptized and keep the Passover so the disaster would pass over them. In my heart I truly wanted them to be saved. Now though since Passover and 2nd Passover have passed I’m not sure what the latest thing is. They’re probably just saying father’s coming is VERY near. I’ll see if I can find out.

That's not true. They beieve it's a generation (not necessarily a 100 years, because not many of us get to that age; more like 70-80) from the re-establishment of Israel.

SimonParticipantYes ahn called a generation 70/80 years based on a verse i don’t recall off hand

The only verse that mentions a generation has it as a 40 year period. Hence the 1988 false prediction.

SimonParticipantAhn used a verse about life span

Smurf, that's ridiculous, it's all based on lies!!! There's a new term out there called "truthiness" It means if you tell a lie but have even a small amount of truth involved then you shouldn't be held accountable for your lie.
So, if they throw a little bit of truth in with their ridiculous LIES all their teachings are still bullshit!
ALL THEIR TEACHINGS ARE WRONG…..It's not a church, it's a cult
