I'm surprized the WMSCOG isn't pushing the second tithe!

For the amount of money that seems to be taken from the members, and the expectation that is placed on the members to tithe, I'm surprized that the topic of the second tithe every three years hasn't come up. For a group that claims to do everything in the Bible, and if it isn't in the Bible then they don't do it how did they miss this?

(I know factually that they don't follow the Bible but lets go on. How far into H/E/L/L has this group taken their members when they teach that celebrating the birth of Jesus is evil but the celebration of Ahns birthday is not?)

So Biblically every three years the tribes of Isreal were to give a second tithe of 10%. If the tithe to God is absolutely important to the salvation of their soul then why is it not taught to do the second tithe as well? It's because they do NOT know the word of God!

I've used this word to describe this group before; Pathetic! Every member needs to get out right now! Leave right this very second! You are not being taught the truth! Seek the truth for yourself outside of this controlling group! After a while you will see that you are much better off and even more in line with Gods will that when you were involved with this group and its teachings.

@Josua Becareful, you may give them ideas. But one thing that they frequently did was bring up new projects, then ask for money using a scripture or two about how ASH will bless you. So alot of times members open their check books wide.

@Joshua Also remember unlike other churches, they collect twice on Saturday. Because your, “Not supposed to come before God empty handed”, they instruct members to offer at two of the Sermon times.

Really?? At the location I went to they wanted you to give an offering at all three, and you are not to put change in the envelope. I remember whenever I didn't have money for an offering I always felt so bad and the sister who would collect the basket always gave you a crazy look because you didn't give one. Pertaining to the tithe I remember thinking that the tithe was whenever you get money. I didn't have a job so I didn't have a monthly income. I was told we are to not only give tithe when we get money but we are to give it every month because God provided for us. If you get it from work then you pay 10% of your income before taxes and you also give 10% of your tax refund.  I would say thats kind of like a second tithe because you already paid tithe throughout the year on your income so when you give them 10% of your income tax you are paying a second tithe on the same income.I know its not like the one in the Bible but theirs is yearly.

I understand that by creating this post I could very well have given the WMS another idea on how to get more money from their members. That is always a possibility with this group. Many years ago this group would have never considered doing a blood drive. Giving the blood of the saints to the followers of Satan would have been unheard of. After others pointed out how problematic the WMS was in terms of societal views they discovered that the blood from their members didn't cost the WMS anything. Was this the reason why they started doing this? Possibly. It also made them seem more credible to the general public and those that they try and preach to. It was not their idea! Here's where this post could be a double edge sword for them. 1) They didn't come up with the idea on their own and would have to steal it from us. 2) How could we, the followers of Satan supposedly, have found the truth (the second tithe) before their man made god? You know it would be put to the members as something that mother says should be done. How lame would that be and for the people who come here looking to debunk us they are going to know that we brought this into the light before the WMS did.

If you look back a few years ago in our forum you might discover some other things that we have figured would come to pass before the WMS brought it too their members. They look pretty pathetic when they try and use stuff that we predicted that they would use.

I'm glad that this post has started a good discussion. Keep up the good work folks.

@Joshua Wow…wondering what things they studied and now use? I know they are now trying to tell members to spend time woth their families, and having them spend select holidays with family as well.

My son has not been home for Christmas, Thanksgiving, or (of course) Easter for seven years.  Now it appears that it was all for nothing since they are doing a 180 degree turn on their hard and fast policy of not being with family on holidays.  They kept him away from us for that time (with a couple exeptions that were hard fought) and it has damaged our family and our relationships greatly.  Now they are going to let people go home for these things after they wouldn't allow him to?  I always knew it was all for nothing but keeping their members under control, and to cause strife.  But now, shouldn't a few long term members realize the same thing?

How do God's rules change?  How does that happen?  Well, that is another one of my hypothetical questions.  God's rules dont change.  Therefore, it shows the Wms rules were wrong, damaging, and downright dishonest.  If their rules weren't wrong in the first place, they wouldn't be changing them.

@Mountain. They are looking at it from a Worldy perspective, then justifying it Spiritually. Thats what they always do. They do it with abortion, isolation from Family, Extorting money etc. So now, since the public is hearing about their tactics, they must tell new Members; “Go, have a good time with your family”.

Lol. That was my first thought Joshua when reading through this topic, don't be giving them no new ideas.

It appears they do follow the words of the bible. But as I study more of the bible away from the church, I continue to find more and more holes in their doctrine and beliefs.

They do teach that Christmas has pagan origins, which make sense. (The bible shows that Jesus was born in the summer actually and interesting enough).

But then their group mentality kicks in and they think they need to celebrate the birthday of ASH which is not biblical, or prophetical, but in my opinion it is heresy.

I would love to list all the holes in their doctrine but I don't want to help them so that they change.

God's rules don't change. But these people change their beliefs. They control their way in a different direction.

As long as we examine and speak as witnesses to what we have seen and heard, they will be defeated.

How much do you think the “God the mother” is worth? Just curious.

    30-50Million. Just a guess.

I am guessing more in the hundreds of millions simply because there is the tithe, the free labor, free maintenance, tax deductible income, and then all the valuable property that they have accumulated.  But no oone really knows because they lie and exaggerate so much.  We don't really know how many members they have because they count people who are simply baptized, and many who are baptized never tithe or become regular members.
