    Time says:

Why don't You translate the whole book? specially the preface where Christ Ahnsahnghong says that entering the Kingdom of Heaven does not depend on whether we know the date or not, but whether we keep God's commandments.

You have to read the whole book, not just one chapter.

Even if you read the same chapter, Christ Ahnsahnghong quotes Matthew 25 saying that the bridegroom will delay… Delay means that even though there is an appointed time, he will come later then the appointed time.

People did the same thing 2,000 years ago with the letters of Apostle Paul, and other scriptures.

2 Peter 3:16… His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which IGNORANT and UNSTABLE people distort, as they do the other scriptures, to their own destruction.

This rhetoric about the end being delayed sounds like a whole lot of hog-wash. The FACT of the matter is that it was declared that the end WILL come in 1988, but when the so called coming failed to materialise you're then told, "Oops! There was the prophecy of Jonah." The point of the matter is that telling people of the prophecy of Jonah AFTER his failure to come is deceptive and evil. If you KNEW that he would be delayed or relent or whatever then there is no need to mention that he will come in 1988 or 2012.

This actually appears to be the MO of the organisation. Telling you of the impending doom coming in 2015 and then when the so called prophecy fails to be fulfiled you're then made aware of another prophecy that said the end would come in 2018. How is this different from Hananiah? And I fail to see how believing what you're being told as being evil, because what is this rubbish of saying that those who focus on the date are evil? When it is mentioned that the end will come and then all of a sudden you're evil because you belived what God supposedly said? Really now! It's like a mind rape of the worst kind.

True… and they can stretch this for at least another decade or so. 2015 has been on the table for a while now, I'm curious to see where it leads.

Sooner or later they're going to get it right though. What happens then? All they need is one successful prediction and no one's going to pay attention to the thousands of failed ones.

How long before they realize God's success rate is always, ALWAYS 100%~!

    99.99 doesn't cut it 😐

    ^ what 99.99%?

For them it is, and always has been, 100%. Failure.

One success and ignore the thousand.

Odd you mention that. they preach that if a church does even one thing wrong, has everything correct except for one teaching, that church cannot be the true church.

What they are practicing is if we have one thing right, if everything is false except for that one truth, we’re the true church.

For those who were extended members, have they ever called a specific year the year of jubilee? From a sermon pastor Brian gave, the prophetic year of jubilee is when all the prisoners of earth are set free to return to their hometown, heaven. 2014 is the year of jubilee. If that’s the case, even us “backsliders” will go to heaven because ALL the debts of ALL prisoners will be forgiven.

2014?  2015?  As of 2011 I know of a kid in Seattle who was told the end was going to be in 2018.  And my son and the others in his Zion were definitely thinking it was 2012 in the years preceding that date.

All to give them a sense of urgency for preaching.   Hurry, hurry, hurry!  Lives depend on it and there isn't much time!

Exactly, but if SHTF in the next 8 to 10 years they WILL be able to say: "Ha, we told you so!"

The reason people like them can thrive is that the church isn't doing it's job properly.

But it was written Matt 4:17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”

It was not said we should repent because the end is nigh. All those who focus on the end and use it to manipulate people are truly near sighted.

And it is also written Mark 12:28-34 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these.” <font size=”2″>32 </font>“Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. <font size=”2″>33 </font>To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.

So even if they do get the timing right, the mere fact that they focus on the end and on rituals (like Sabbath and Passover) means that they cannot lead people to heaven.

For it is also writen, 1 Sam 16:17 "But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
