    Introduction

    My brother and I lives in separate cities. Around September 2012, he convinced me to take a little vacation and come visit him. Because I  missed him and my little bro, I agreed to take two weeks vacation to spend time with them there. He told me he got a new religion. Since he was formerly an atheist, hearing that he began to believe in God again made me happy. On the first Saturday of my visit, he and I went to this church of his. His new religion is WORLD MISSION SOCIETY CHURCH OF GOD.

    I went there with an open-minded thinking. I am not an expert with the bible and their words seemed to fit with the teachings in the bible at first. So I listened and take note of their teachings that seemed so new to me and I planned on giving their beliefs some consideration. At the end of the day, much to my surprise, they were saying that they are preparing for my "BAPTISM". I refused THREE TIMES. But they kept saying that it is important to do it now and gave me passages from the bible saying "Do not worry about tomorrow for you will not know what will happen today" kind of thing. Since I am not a person with a strong personality, I let myself be lead into it without further protests.

    That day, I prayed to God : "God if this is what you want from me, if this is Your will…I will accept it". Then I was baptised. To my amazement, that same day in the afternoon, my little brother (who was at home) experienced SEIZURE. He has epilepsy but haven't experienced seizure for many months now. This happening gave me a sense of dread. I kept thinking that it might be a sign. And it DIDN'T feel like it was a GOOD sign.

    I had my own problems with my faith. Some of their teachings strengthened my faith in GOD again. But even though I am not a Bible expert, my English understanding is, should I say, above average. So I was puzzled by some of their teachings that I think contradicts the message of the Bible. At first I thought that maybe because they are Korean, their English is not very good. So I did my own reading, and with some help of the internet, I came to realize that MOST OF THEIR TEACHINGS ARE FALSE! Some of it really, really contradicts the Bible. So I wrote notes and questions and discussed it with my brother.

    THIS IS WHERE THE PROBLEM STARTS. My brother, even though with all the proof I showed him, didn't believe me! He kept twisting the message in the Bible so that it would fit to what they are teaching. THEY DO NOT BASE THEIR BELIEFS ON THE BIBLE BUT ACTUALLY USE THE CAREFULLY CHOSEN BIBLE PASSAGES TO PROVE THEIR BELIEFS!

    So, with only less than TWO WEEKS to spend before I have to use my return ticket… I didn't have enough time to convince my brother from that false path. Now, I am here, much closer to God because of this experience (I started reading the Bible from the top to know God more) with a brother, who is moving farther and farther away from the truth. SO THIS IS MY IMPORTANT QUESTION: WHEN WILL THEIR PROFESSED "GOD THE MOTHER" DIE?!?!

    The WMSCOG believes that the END will come when their "God the mother" dies. They told me that when she leaves the earth, the LAST JUDGEMENT will come. So, the only way I can get my brother back again is when SHE DIES and seeing "PEOPLE GOES ON LIVING" will prove that they have false teachings and false gods. It might seem bad of me to wish her early death, but I think she caused enough problems that will last every victim a lifetime.

     Renita said she told her friend about another flaw the wms teaches, and so her friend agreed, so I'm asking her on which one of the flaws

    Well, I told her about constantine and the sabbath. But before that, a few days ago, I told her about ostrogoths. But she asked me if the sabbath is still Saturday and I said I believe it should be. I’m hoping she’ll find a different church to keep the Saturday dabbath because who knows what these people will do to “go to heaven.”

    Anyone here knows the word Jubilee and it's relation to Jesus Christ being the Sabbath of Sabbaths? This is one of the reasoning that some biblical teachers used in answering the question of why Sabbath isn't celebrated in Saturdays anymore. It is really based on the Bible scripture so it is the most accurate explanation I have find out so far. I haven't read about this that much so I'm not gonna expound on it. But to those who are interested about it, maybe you can try searching the internet. I will try to ask an expert I know about this and if I find something more concrete, I'll share it here.

    there was a sermon of the year of jubilee. It is by far my favorite sermon because it made me feel excited and happy at the end. From what I remember, the year of jubilee is the year of god favor. That year, all slaves were set free and all debts were cleared. The wmscog says that is the physical meaning. The spiritual meaning is when we all go to heaven. Think about it.. (that’s there favor phrase) jesus died for our sins but does that mean we are without sin? Didn’t you commit sin yesterday or even minutes before coming to service? So, even though god suffered for our sins, we still commit sin. His death did not free us from slavery to sin. But the year of jubilee is when god will free us from slavery to sin and forgive us of our debts that we may enter heaven. This is why the sabbath has no end in genesis. Spiritually, the 7th day when god rested represents the eternal sabbath. We are nearing the end of the 6000 year prophecy. The year of jubilee is approaching.

    I like the year of jubilee. =)

    Renita, is there a reason you started with these points? I was going to start with those with my girl, they seem to be the easiest to prove absolutely false. There's a lot of grey area in their teachings, but there is actual historical distortion going on with those two "prophecies."

    The first things I started with was the book ahnsahnghong wrote and published about god the mother. My friend is a smart alec like me and isn’t afraid to point out what’s obviously wrong. But she didn’t go to zion as often as I did so a lot of the stuff I tell her she says she hasn’t heard about it. I just tell her everything that blows my mind bluntly. I know she can take it because she doesn’t fully believe in f&m anyway. So she’s not offended.

    Its different when you tell someone who doesn’t believe all the way. Much easier. =)

    Year of the jubilee. I just read the story of Yo mamma, about the year of the jubilee. Is there any information about this year, does anyone know when it starts? Is it every year, what does it mean? What will happen after that year?

    Can someone explain what this is supposed to mean?

    When exactly is the year of jubilee supposed to begin?

    Is this one final jubilee year for all time?

    Does it mean that those who died before the coming of the jubilee year are not forgiven and will go to h e l l?

    Does this mean that the jubilee year has far greater impact on our eternal future than the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross?

    How can you say things about the bible in love for them to understand.  Do I need to keep reading and doing my research to get this answer?

    Any attempt on your part to discredit the church will be seen as a personal attack. So avoid that, but be prepared in case your son shows interest. Again, don't force him and just be there for him. Sooner or later he will find out that their love is conditional.

    @mcbell94578
    – I suggest that you should first study the articles on this website as well as on http://encountering-ahnsahnghong.blogspot.in/

    1. Arm yourself with information.

    2. Do not obviously debate doctrine with your son but give him plenty of love and attention.

    3. Pay attention to what he speaks about the church (encourage him to speak) and when you see that something he says is obviously wrong based on what you have studied from these two websites, ask him a question, not as a challenge but as seeking clarification. It is not necessary to raise your question at the moment he speaks. You can listen to him, go back and continue your research and ask him a question the next day.

    4. This will not work with your first or second question but it will make him ponder about the truth.

    When speaking to him and you know he is misled, it is easy to get worked up and agitated during the discussion. Refrain from that. Remain humble and seeking.

    @emily
    at not doing my research I cannot ask question or concerns about the bible.  They told him to tell me to be a mother.  Right now all I can do is tell him how much I love him and I here for him because I did not know. This was a cult
