I have read and also have spoken to several members who said that if the world doesn't come to an end this month that they would leave the WMSCOG. I hope these people are not liars! Is the truth in them? The time is coming when we will see.
I am also curious, but really don't think these people will quit. Even the one who said two years ago that he thought they should put a padlock on the door of the church if the world didn't end at the end of 2012. I think he's just going to buy whatever lame excuse they give him. Some may really question, though, and I am hoping the best for them.
Many will stay, this is the only way of life they know already and no matter what happens in their minds and hearts they are doing the right thing. We can't blame them, it's just the way it was meant to be. My friend is a grown-man if he decides to stay after we hit 2013 and everything that they taught him about the end in 2012 does not happen, then sincerely I will leave it alone. There is a time and place for everything in life. May God have Mercy on their souls, or on ours if we are wrong.
We aren't wrong, and I'm not worried about that. But I still want my loved one out of there. It's different if it's an immediate family member and you see them suffering as a result of their unfortunate involvement in this church. It's bad enough if it's your friend, but if it is your daughter, son, husband, etc., it is tough to just leave them in there. One of my biggest fears is that my relative will say I didn't try hard enough to get him out, or that I gave up on him and that's why he stayed so long. None of that is true. They just had him set up not to believe his family, and there was not much we could do when we found out the extent of the indoctrination he was under.
You know what MountainMom well said, your right I should not give up and just leave him there, but what else can I do if he refuses to listen to me. Why won't he just come and read this site and then decide if what this site is saying is true or not according to his personal experience.
I tell you he was the one that told me in late 2010 that the end would be in 2012, that father was suppose to come along time ago but mother prayed for more time to find the lost children. This did not come from his own conculsion, but rather from the studies he took and from the sermons given by the pastor of the church.
I am more anxious to see his reaction when we all blow our horns and party favors to bring in the new year. I will have to call him out and say what happen, where is your God, and why are we still here, although it may sound cruel, it's the only way to make him snap out of it.
After that, like I said (although I love him & care for him as a sibling) he is a grown-man, and I can't force him to change his mind.(that's why I thought of leaving it alone, but seeing what you wrote gives me a change of heart and mind) I totally agree with you on everything you said, but how much more can we do, only GOD can make them see the truth and lies and they also have to be willing to hear it.
My friend is a good man, and I hope and pray to God with tears in my eyes as I write this, that God will open up his eyes, mind, and soul and guide him towards the truth, and set him free.
I do not think many will quit because they can start to say that "is a test of faith", that God is testing everyone's faith and that only they 144000 will remain faithfull. They are going to start with the parable about the oil and the lamp and how the one that felt asleep could not enter because her lamp was off. They are going to read all Ahn Sanhg Hong's books all over again because their faith is not strong enough and they are going to remain in that set of mind for 12 months more. On top of that we have the so acclaimed "feast of God" which are a Jew wannabe activity to state that they are they only and original spiritual Jews. And in which their book's stories are going to be replayed and confirmed. They are going to become more thankfull because God gave them 5-6 more years to preach and expand. Many will become Missionaries or Diacons. And finally their profit is going to increase. Unfortunatelly everything has its ups and Downs and the Church of Scientology was very popular at a time and their members have decline enourmously I think the same is going to happen eventually to the COG. When they finally attain the top of the cliff they are going to fall and hit themselves very hard.
They could use the excuse that they meant the world would end in 2013 according to the lunar calendar.
As long theres that heavily induced believe that mama zhang is god, most of the members wont have any problem if she give them excuse after excuse, after all a god can say or do anything as she like, right? and to question her would be the sign of the faithless, right?

Hey, Renita. Did you comment on this anti-examiningthewmscog site? I saw your name there in the Recent Comments at the corner but when I clicked it, the result was NOT FOUND. Maybe the owner of the website is controlling the informations going in and deleting all the negative comments but retaining the positive ones. Maybe this is one of the reason why you are having trouble entering this forum of ours? I don't know, just thought of it. I put comments there also, so far it was not remove but I'll keep checking to see if it stays there.
